I had the right words just in the wrong order . Now where is the app to move me out of here....

Ive tried that too, when I get to the edge it flicks itself back to its original spot. Bastard thing.

You can also make folders in iBooks now, rather than have them all fill up the shelves. Tap 'books' and then 'new'. Then return to your shelves and tap 'edit'. Select the books you want to move to your new collection and tap 'move'.

I did it. Each one took about 7 attempts, Ive left the last one too annoying.

Under General-Keyboard Shortcuts you can enter text and a shortcut to that text - it's very useful if you have a long email address, now I just type 3 letters and it automatically puts in my whole email. I also have the place I work and various other phrases I often use set up.

Touching the clock at the top of the screen in Safari, will automatically scroll the page to the top.

Brilliant on long threads in MN to get back to Active Convos.

And if you have the new iPad the dictation facility is great!

Yes Stratters. The teenagers get very embarrassed when I whip out the iphone torch, look through my vary focals and shout against the Hollister loud music "What colour is that then? HOOOW MUCH?" in my best Lady Bracknell voice.

ok, I have got hol dof new iphone. It is synced, it is verified, it is basically raring to go.

Have figured out how to download apps thorugh itunes and sync them with the iphone, but I can't see a purchase option on iphone thorugh app store, but it is definatly verified!!

oh you click the TINY thing in the top right hand corner v carefully. Just got Account Tracker!!

The free app "iPhone secrets" tells you lots of things you might not have known.

For example, if you are embarrassed by a ringing or just vibrating phone in a meeting etc, if you press one of the volume buttons on the side (either will do), it will continue to ring for your caller but will be instantly silenced.

Just figured out how to move the shortcuts across screens. Hold them down as said before till they wiggle, drag them right to whichever side of the screen you want them to flick over to but then you have to hold them still there a bit before they go over. Bit of a faff to work out like.

Is there any way to get rid of the qwerty keyboard and have an alphnumeric one instead on iphone 4? I hate qwerty keyboards on phones.

I don't know if this has been done yet but on an iPhone you can set your music to a sleep timer, I do this when to help me drift off at times. Put music on then go to clock, then timer, set the amount of time then "when time ends" swipe to sleep iPod/stop playing.

Quick question - how do you get capslock on the iPhone when you're texting?

Press the shift key twice quickly to get caps lock

Just thought of another 'tip' If you turn the iPhone horizontal whilst using the calculator it turns into a rather swanky scientific one, which is handy when you have DSs who leave their maths homework until the last minute and then panic because they can't find theirs.
