Btw thank you mardy, I've seen a few threads asking 'How do I do this on my ipad/iphone etc' so just thought it was a good idea so all the iProblems can come to one place :)

MrsDmitri I think it can slow things down, maybe uses battery too. It's a good way to reboot an app rather than turn the whole phone offnon again.

I just got a fab app today, it's called 'MapMyWalk'. And. It does! It knows how many miles I walked today and how many calories I burnt, it also plots your path and shows it on a map! It's free aswell.

If any of your buttons are broken on I phone 4
Go to Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Assistive Touch and turn it to "On"
A circle appears on the screen - tap it and go to device and this can be used instead of buttons.

I was a bit worried that turning them off off would 'lose' my passwords on things like FB and MN, but it doesn't so that's okay

I've just discovered that you can put your apps into folders! I was rearranging some apps and dropped on ontop of another app and they went into a folder together! I now have 4 folders plus the homepage instead of 3 pages of apps! Iphone 4 here.

Tap space bar twice to get full stop and capital for next sentence. Touch and hold letter to get special characters.

Ooh i like the idea of apps in folders.

Can you make folders in the bookmarks on the Internet? Would like to be able to do that.

Yes you can QED! I have a few folders in my internet :)

By closing down apps you aren't using you save battery life as well.
Fisher price do a childrens cover for the iPhone it's about 9.99 from Argos but for those with dc under 2 it is a godsend for those times you need to keep them quiet eg Dr waiting room etc the fisher price apps are also free to download or most of them are

Ah have just found a new button when I go into bookmarks and edit that says new folder . My iPad is still shiny and new which will remain my excuse

If you are in safari and like a pic, put your finger on and hold for a few seconds it should then give you the option to save said pic

And did you know there is a free app to watch the tv

On ipad, using four or five fingers you can swipe up to reveal the multitasking bar, pinch to return to the Home screen and swipe left or right to switch between apps.

How do you get an app over to the next page? I try and flick it across but it neve works. Ive got tonnes if pages of apps that are barely full. Now Im trying to get them into a folder and meeting the same problem.

SkyGo, BBC iPlayer and 4OD are all free but gobble up data unless you're on an unlimited package or using wifi. Annoyingly I can't get the iPlayer to show live TV (just keeps buffering) which was frustrating when we were desperate to watch Horrible Histories on the bus on Monday - probably works better on the iPad than on the iPhone. We don't use them that much, DCs (well it's mainly DD) tend to watch things on YouTube instead.

There's an app Ive got called Catch up tv or similar that has live tv I think (have put it on but not actually used it yet)

White, press and hold an app till they all start wobbling, then press an app you want to move and drag it riiiiiiiight to the edge of the screen, as far to the edge as you can get it, whichever side you want it to go to, and it should go to the next/previous page with you still holding the app.
