A proper pond with pond plants.
A wildflower area.
Really good roses.

Orangeandpinkcloud · 02/08/2026 20:46

Get the patio done!

SardineJam · 02/08/2026 20:47

I have a sloped garden, so would invest in terracing

Nousernameideaaga · 02/08/2026 20:48

Pond
Pizza oven (chef to make pizzas in pizza oven)

napody · 02/08/2026 20:49

Winding cobblestone paths, which I'll gradually surround with more and more plants propagated and divided over time.

Overtheatlantic · 02/08/2026 20:50

I did this and put in a red brick patio. Best decision I’ve made about the garden.

I would love £10,000 to spend on my garden!

It might encourage the fencers to hurry up and put mine up. I would like a very... difficult... and partially dead hedge removing and reinstating with another (edible) variety. The lawn area needs some love and attention, so a few tonne bags of topsoil, manure and fresh grass seed wouldn't go amiss. Oh, and some more dwarf fruit trees, so that I could have a little orchard.

I would also buy the big chicken run that I have my eye on, and chickens... who would then trash my garden 😁Bees would be nice, too.

New patio and paths
Some mature shrubs
More roses
Just lost a beautiful horse chestnut tree so maybe a mature replacement

FizzingAda · 02/08/2026 22:00

A gardener

LinnetsWing · 02/08/2026 22:06

Topsoil and trees.

CleanSkin · 02/08/2026 22:17

Patio re-grout. Decking replacement.
A couple more fruit trees, maybe apricot & plum.
And as @Calling said, really good roses.

edited to clarify what needs doing to the patio!

MyDarlingRose · 02/08/2026 22:19

More roses. So many more roses (my David Austin’s have been an absolute pleasure this year).

Greenhouse.
More veg beds.
Trug.
Espalier apple and pear trees.
A plum tree.

A new table and chairs.

IrradiatedHaggis · 02/08/2026 22:20

A nice potting shed
Pretty greenhouse
Some turf
And a new gate

AnAutumnCrow · 02/08/2026 22:20

A folly styled as a Graeco-Roman temple.

fruitypancake · 02/08/2026 22:23

New patio !

NotMyRealAccount · 02/08/2026 22:28

Drainage of a particularly soggy part of the garden, and spend whatever's left on a consignment of good topsoil.

Agoddessonamountaintop · 02/08/2026 22:28

I’d get a top-notch garden designer to come up with the perfect solution to my potentially lovely but overgrown and shady patch. Don’t know how far the 10k would go but surely it’d at least cover the design and the planting plan, plus the odd bit of necessary landscaping.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 02/08/2026 22:57

Terracing a small slope which is difficult to plant at the moment. Reduce planted area and have greater dry garden space which doesn’t need too much maintenance. Extend the patio near the kitchen and buy a robot lawnmower. None of the above and buy a garden room.

Unconventionality · 02/08/2026 23:04

Dig up my lawn and replave with some medium sized pebbles with interspersed planting and spanners to extend so that I don't have to see my neighbours ugly sheds.

zeddip · 02/08/2026 23:08

Extend patio
Pergola or some other kind of shade
New garden furniture
Pleached trees along the back
Kids climbing frame
Flower bed along the back

olivecons · 02/08/2026 23:10

We spent £20,000 on it last year, but if I had another £10,000 I’d get a lovely water feature put in and a bunch of well established plants as ours is a very young garden currently, I’d love crawling plants across the tops of our trellising (forgot the name, I’m not a natural gardener 🤣)

olivecons · 02/08/2026 23:10

Pleached trees! That’s the one, thanks PP.

spritzwiththat · 02/08/2026 23:12

A cedar gazebo to grill and pizza oven under all year round aka ‘outdoor kitchen’

Digerydont · 02/08/2026 23:13

A garden office with sauna and a telescope. I have always wanted a telescope.

shellyleppard · 02/08/2026 23:13

I would level the garden. Have a garden shed big enough for my new eldest son to live in 😂😂
