@Didshejustsaythatoutloud I did have a little laugh to myself thinking the same as you.
I have some echinacea, they are very sensitive I have found. If it’s not the exact right conditions, they quickly lose all their petals and look sad. Last year they didn’t even bloom. Has anyone had any success with them? They are so pretty when they do well.
I have a few different roses. A climbing one is taking over. One rose bush I have blooms for literally 30 seconds a year then looks dead the rest of the time.
I have titan sunflowers and normal ones.
3 different hydrangeas.
lots and lots of different evergreens.
lavender that also takes over.
butterfly bushes.
Lupin and delphiniums.
Alliums
lots of wildflowers I chucked about.
About 2 years ago my littlest dc brought home a morning glory from school. It was meant to be a beanstalk from their jack and the beanstalk topic. It died (I thought) inside so to spare her any upset I disposed of it quickly by throwing it in a wild patch at the bottom of my garden. I don’t often go down there. I did recently. It has grown into a huge carpet and beanstalk up the fence. It has lovely white flowers. Unbelievable.
I have a big veg and fruit patch too. I tired to reduce the number of things that I grow this year as last year it was a task to keep up to it all. Lots overtook other veg and it got attacked by caterpillars. Devastating.
Luckily this year I have some ducks who seem to have kept the slugs and caterpillars at bay. They belong to my behind neighbour but have been coming into my garden to feast on the slugs when they feel like it.
I have lots of spring flowers too. I might remember to share them when it’s that time.
