I have Desdemona and St Ethelburga (pictured) which I love.
I like lovely smelling roses and am planning on buying Charles Darwin (lemon coloured) Gabriel Oak (dark pink) and Tuscany, an old rose from the 16th century.

I’d definitely try Vanessa Bell. Charles Darwin doesn’t bloom very well and as the booms fade they kind of go brown round the edges and the whole flower looks like crumpled up old paper. I was convinced I was going to love it, so was quite disappointed.

Thanks. I think I'll get Vanessa Bell

I've been to the garden centre and my lovely best friend bought me Gabriel Oak rose and a lovely white dwarf rhododendron for my enormous birthday next week.

I bought a beautiful huge blue ceramic pot that was half price for the rose to go in on the patio.😁

Can't wait for next summer to see the flowers on the rose.

Glad you had a good trip and got some lovely presents.

It’s worth a visit @PinkYarrow They also run rose pruning courses in the winter if you get really rose obsessed.
Here are a couple of my favourite both apricot coloured. Buff Beauty with clusters of smaller flowers on a medium sized spreading bush and Roald Dahl which is a more compact plant that keeps on flowering.

Ooo I will check this out im getting rose obsessed lol

Very pretty.
I just ordered the David Austin rose calendar for next year. I hope the pictures are nice.

I have Margaret Merrill. They aren't the most beautiful rose bushes but the smell is absolutley incredible. They also have massive sentiments value. I carried them in my bouquet when I got married for this reason.

Fragrant Cloud smells amazing (& is a classic red). I also love our Kathleen Harrop which smells slightly of lemons and is a pretty pale pink.

I also like Nostalgia (pink & white) and Peace (lemon & pink).

We have 2 good climbers too Dublin Bay - a traditional rose red and Crepusula - a pale peach
