I’m ridiculously happy about it. Feels like raising a difficult child and finally seeing them leave home :)

I've had mine 17 years and it still hasn't bloomed. It looks her healthy, but no flowers. Every year I warn it that if it doesn't flower this year it's coming out.

Ours is 5 years old and moved with us. Flowered since year 2! My neighbour always comments on it as I didn’t even realise it was a thing.
21 years?!

I have two, one white, one purple that I bought 4 years in bloom. I'm training them over a pergola but I've never pruned them. I'm terrified I'll ruin them. Can anyone recommend an idiot proof guide or video please?

Our wisteria took 21 years to finally bloom - it's been flowering now for 4 years and this year is the best yet - its just 'dripping' with flowers!
It's my favourite thing in the garden

21 years ! I was about to plant one…I could wait a few years but a few decades would be pushing it…
OP - so beautiful!

I think ours is about 12 years old, maybe more. It’s made feeble efforts with less than half a dozen pale and weedy racemes the past couple of years, but this time it’s covered in gorgeous lilac coloured bunches and the perfume is just fantastic.

@Blogdog - it’s an early flowering clematis - no idea which one. Both planted by previous owners.
I am loving all the wisteria photos and enjoying my walks. I don’t think I have ever seen such a prolific year for wisteria.
smell is also amazing.
