I've got my back door open and as I do every year I've planted a lot of stocks in pots right outside.

I actually make a happy noise every time a whiff blows in.

Close joint second are the smells of the basil and mint

Roses and wisteria are my absolute favourites, but sweet peas, broad beans and honeysuckle are wonderful too.

Lemon and orange blossom are amazing in the conservatory

Jasmine, lavender, roses and sweet peas.

Rhododendron Luteum is a yellow flowered azelea that smells lovely. A friend has it in a corner of her garden, you smell it before you see it.

Honeysuckle
Jasmine
Lily of the Valley
Frangipani

Frangipani is the only one that we have here (Caribbean) and I adore the smell on my morning walks. It’s something else.

I miss the English summer mornings of fresh cut grass Jasmine on a warm evening.
