How do your Peonie plants look right now?

I planted mine end of 2018 so they have only flowered once before

They are sprouting up now but they just aren’t very bushy looking yet and didn’t know if it’s just too early for them or if they aren’t doing so well

I originally had mine in a pot, but since planting out it has really thrived. How did it look when the shoots came up this year OP, was there plenty of growth?

@ThomasHardyPerennial I think I’ve worked out that the pot has some sort of fungus as before the peonies grow large the tulips are in both pots and my tulips didn’t bloom in that pot too this year.

The leaves on the peony have also gone a slightly reddish colour where my other pots have luscious green foliage.

I’ve got one in the ground but it’s new this year so still tiny.

I have one in a huge pot all to itself and it definitely grows much larger thanks to the space.

I’m tempted to put them all in the ground but my flower bed is at the back of the garden (long silly narrow garden) and the first 3/4 is patio and gravel so needs pots.

I usually have some trailing geraniums that flllow on from the peonies but haven’t been able to get any this year

My peony has reddish green leaves, could yours just be a different variety to the others in your garden? Sorry if that is a stupid question.

I love all the flower colours of pp's peonies! Mine is light pink when it flowers.

I have a couple just coming out, i'm going to cut them today as they're getting trashed by the wind and the right now so might as well enjoy them indoors. Still plenty more to come later

Going to buy another plant, as I want a fragrant peony (which my current one isn’t ) and don’t have deep borders.

My peonies have just started opening. I have two, one is always twice the size of the other. They are in the same bed, although the smaller on loses sun about an hour before the bigger one.

@Osquito this is the size of the pot. It was inherited when we moved to the house so must have been too big to bother taking with them

I have 5 lovely flowers, but also had 6 more buds that halted and look like something has eaten a hole into them?
