the hat was like this

Notyummy · 10/03/2008 15:44

Ah, I see what you mean. Those hats can look very dashing if worn with a swagger.

shoshe · 10/03/2008 15:58

If you are going Do NOT I REPEAT DO NOT fall over on entering the ground, hit your head, requiring stiches and miss the whole match!

Did not stop me getting abosolutly out of it later tho

VanillaPumpkin · 10/03/2008 16:27

I wish I was.
DH is off work today and has witnessed first hand just how much time I have spent on here . I have told him that it is an unusual day as it is raining and he is at home.......dd2 (2.7) has grassed me up though confirming that this is what I do all day when dh asked her. No loyalty from my children tut.

VanillaPumpkin · 10/03/2008 16:34

And can you see my IP address on here, or just on the blog...??

Sammy C

My hubby left the army in Feb 06 and was a Engineer and Army Diver and a commando as well.

Were you ever posted to Germany, we lived in Hameln 97-200, Paderborn 2000-2001, Hohne 2001-2005.

Just wondering if our paths have ever passed, if not ours then our hubbys, unless of course hubby is an officer then i doubt it.

SammyC · 10/03/2008 21:52

We never lived in Germany, he was posted at the dive school so am sure they will know each other! My hubby isnt an officer so they prob do know each other! He has been posted Plymouth, Chivenor, portsmouth, Maidstone.

I have never been to the Army/Navy rugby but DH goes every year (that he isn't at sea anyway)

It sounds like a great crack - lots of alcohol and fit muscly men in tight shorts. Sigh, what more could a woman want?

Sidge · 11/03/2008 19:51

And respect to LL - how many different services have you, um, patroned??

I thought Navy, RAF and Marines was pretty good going (not all at once I hasten to add) - never managed the Army (Haslar went Tri-Service too late, I was engaged by then!)

VanillaPumpkin · 11/03/2008 20:04

My DH just read this thread having seen the title and thinking it might be of interest to him . I won't tell you what he said about us all .

Sidge · 11/03/2008 20:22

LOL VP I bet it was something along the lines of dirty old trollops??

I'll have you know I was never part of any establishment's joining routine!

scotlass · 11/03/2008 21:30

PSML, I've just seen this thread. DD has just piped up from her bed next door "what you laughing at??"

Oh fond memories of army v navy rugby matches. Apart from when the navy PTI at haslar got us all tickets for the navy stand and we were army!!!! The mad sunderland RAF lass I was with confused them all though shouting on the RAF!!!!

Wish I was going but we're pretending to be civilised and have moved back up north to our own house. (Well I have DH is still in England doing the day job.)

Have a great time you lucky trollops beggars!

saltire · 12/03/2008 07:51

Of course the only reason the RAF don't play is becasue they are too good!
