My dh started with the army(RE), did the commando course plus an army diver.......I am confused which service I am married to! ha ha He is a royal engineer in his heart!

OP posts:

I am disappointed that I have no Army dalliances (good word) to report either. Managed Navy and Fire Service and RAF passions but no Army ......
And I love Soldier Soldier when I was growing up.
The CCF at Uni were a nightmare though sadly. More to do with the Uni than anything else ....

Notyummy · 10/03/2008 12:36

Purple...or just knackered?

Oh and missed out completely on the Marines . Uni was Exeter too and so we used to go past Lympstone on the train on the way to the beach.....
DH's Uncle and young dishy (in a very non-fanciable way for me obv) cousin are Marines....

Notyummy · 10/03/2008 12:41

You don't have to explain yourself to us

I grew up in Helensburgh (Clyde Submarine base for those not Navy affiliated). There were loads of legendary stories of ladies who had more than one partner, but on opposite crews of submarines, so one was always away at sea at any particular time! Sounds like a real organisational feat to me...I can barely remember where I am supposed to meet DH...I'd be rubbish at juggling two

VanillaPumpkin · 10/03/2008 12:41

Lol at Purple! Where does that come from? Do I want to know?
Lol @ LL defence too 'It was over 15 years....' How old were you when you started ?

Good grief Lapin, could you not decide which uniform was best, you had to give them all a go

How civilised! Actually, if we are getting on to international uniformed relationships...

I can own up to an Italian Air Force officer and a USAF officer as well.

The Italian bloke was GORGEOUS. I was doing my officer training at Cranwell at the time, and all the Brits were hacked off with an Italian contingent arriving and nicking the few available women. However even they agreed that this bloke was handsome. As one bloke on my flight said:

'Bastard. I suppose if I was woman I'd want to shag him though.'

Ah, what a great phrase

'exes as far as the eye could see'

I think I have spread mine around a bit further (now that sounds REALLY dodgy, but you know what I mean!) I can't think of an occasion when theres ever been more than 2 (i.e current squeeze plus one ex)
in the same room.

Could be fun though!

VanillaPumpkin · 10/03/2008 15:13

PMSL!
I failed miserably on the foreign uniform too. Me thinks I settled for dh a bit too soon .
(Only joking my beloved if you ever read my threads xxx)
Having said that I had snogged all of my ushers and my best man . This is what happens when you go to a small-ish rural secondary school.

VanillaPumpkin · 10/03/2008 15:15

And Uni was outrageous enough. I thank god I had no aspirations to actually join up or I might have found my self in similar situations .

I used to go out with someone whose uniform was tartan trews!

saltire · 10/03/2008 15:31

and a hat with a feather in it!

Notyummy · 10/03/2008 15:32

I'm not sure that has the same pulling power as other uniforms I've seen. I guess it depends on how you wear them!
