Ok so am vegetarian so no meat or fish.

I dont like spicy food or nuts.

I cant eat ANY cheese or pasta because whilst Im pregnant for some reason it gives me horrendous stomach pains.

I am avoiding the usual not allowed in pregnancy things quite strictly as am paranoid.

I am soooooooooo bored of eating potatoes and bread and thats pretty much it (aside from fruit etc obv) - can you help inspire me?

I would happily live on salads but what can I have that fit all the requirements above that isnt just lettuce, tomatoes, onion and erm - what else?

Would really appreciate any help...

I would second adding nutritious bits and bobs to your breakfast. I was on a v strict exclusion diet for a couple of years and used to make porridge with either oats or quinoa flakes (which might be good for you as it sounds as though your protein levels might be low). I used to add raisins, stewed apple, a spoon or two of linseeds (for essential fatty acids), cinnamon. Was delicious with a spoon of honey.

Easy meals:
Beans on toast
Jacket potatoes - could you tolerate cottage cheese?
Shepherd's pie made from Quorn mince
Pitta bread with houmous - add tapenade, or sun-dried tomato paste to vary the taste a bit

There's a lovely salad with spinach, toasted pine nuts, and orange segments. M&S do some quite interesting salads - you could pinch their ideas?

To be honest, when I was on the diet I ate a lot of curry type dishes, so if you aren't into spice I can see you'd struggle.

Have you tried some of the alternative pastas you can buy in case it's the wheat that bothers you? There's corn, rice or spelt pasta which might have a better effect.

You could eat plenty of yogurts for protein.

I know you said no nuts, but could you bear to eat peanut butter? Just a bit on toast with marmite to disguise the taste would be a good protein and zinc boost.

HTH - make sure you're taking a really good prenatal vitamin. You can tell the proper hardcore ones as you have to take two a day and they're the size of horse tablets! Solgar are good.

Corn tortillas, refried beans and avocado? Mmm...

I've got loads of good recipes that fit your criteria, especially things like:

butternut squash stuffed with sundried tomatoes and mascarpone

fennel fajitas (in this recipe you make the spice mix so you can tone it down)

colcannon

lots of things in the vegetarian category that you can adapt. Most pasta sauces are nice on baked potatoes too.

Wraps are a great way to make a salad a bit more filling.

Good luck! Being picky AND pregnant must be really hard! I had loads of aversions and was a real pain in the bum when pregnant! Actually, still am .

and for breakfasts can recommend

banana and apple porridge (which is also great when you've had the baby as they love it!)

or

bircher muesli which is great as you prepare it the night before and it's in the fridge ready to go in the morning. It is perfect for taking to work too.
