Has anyone moved to Ocado deliveries?

We are a family of two adults and DD6, currently have a monthly pass with Asda but the quality seems to be getting worse, especially the fruit and veg.

I normally have about 3-4 deliveries a month and spend around 350-400 a month on main shops and top ups. I cook meals from scratch and try to batch cook but buy snacks and most treats.

I've just had a browse on the Ocado site and some of the bit looks lovely, especially the higher welfare meat.

Has anyone moved to Ocado and been happy, I can get most deliveries in my area so open to suggestions too 😀

My ds is a delivery driver for ocado so it must be amazing! 😉 😂 Tbh he does go the extra mile for his customers.

He has seen the most amazing properties during his deliveries. I think a few celebs must use Ocado deliveries.

Can I just say I work as a delivery driver for Ocado and it's really nice reading that most/everyone on here has found us drivers polite and friendly 🙂

89% of bags returned are recycled into new bags.

Recycling should be a last resort for unavoidable items, these are so easily avoidable. £221 million bags a year!

Plastic bag use is rising again — it’s the Ocado effect

You must have to drive a long way because Ocado is warehouse based as our nearest warehouse is probably 30 miles away, I think at Bicester.

i really appreciate how all ocado drivers are pilite and kind. I remember ordering from sainsburrys and they seemed more stressed. I hope ocado treat you well as you are the face of their company 🤩

@ExcitingRicotta we tried Sainsburys again about 6 months ago, and it was thr usual mess. Ordered for 5-6pm, got a call from a very rude driver around 12:30 asking why i wasn’t home….
Then got told that since i hadn’t been home for my slot, i would have to re-order for later the week.
if they had delivered at 5pm, i would have been there!

I think the only really bad online shop I have had is Asda, they charged me twice and it took about two weeks to get a refund, spending ages on the phone to an overseas call centre.

Urgh, this is absolutely typical of Sainsburys where I live. Astonishingly uncivil and zero customer service. Awful.

Currently waiting for mine! The drivers are nearly always brilliant.

I’ve used Ocado for around 15 years. They’re the best for online groceries. Others tend to be disappointing in some way.

unsync · 12/10/2025 22:27

Love them. Highly recommended.

I’ve used Ocado for years and they’re great. Very few substitutions and I’ve nearly always accepted them - no stupid swaps. Incredibly friendly and efficient drivers.
My only niggles are the ridiculous number of carrier bags - sometimes one or two items per bag. Also quite often have squashed items and last delivery had something that was supposed to be frozen and wasn’t even cold! They are good at refunds though.

Nottogetapenny · 12/10/2025 22:49

I’ve shopped with Ocado for a number of years now. I find them really good, the prices aren’t that much different to any other supermarket. I have a mid week pass, and get a delivery most Thursday mornings. They are always on time. I love when I check out and reduced items appear in the flash sales!
I agree the delivery drivers are always, polite, friendly and really helpful.

I don't find Ocado website is that user friendly though it is better than Waitrose website. Ocado app is terrible and I only used that on holiday. Best website for shopping is Tesco, the app is ok also. Tesco never do offers though, I guess their base is big enough anyway, some of the others seem desperate for customers, with Ocado and Sainsbury's most desperate
