Best chocolates to buy!

Every year for Christmas I get a box of chocolates that I can enjoy all to myself without having to share with my DP or DC.

Anyone got any highly recommended boxes of chocolates? I should request this year? Much prefer dark chocolate to milk / white and like flavoured truffle type chocolates like hazelnuts, coffees, strawberry etc. I've pretty much had every type of Hotel Chocolat selections so wanted to try something different budget is around £30!

I like Chococo

Someone will be along soon to talk about Audrey's chocolate but if you look at the % of strength of the chocolate, its not all that to my mind but I havent tasted them

I take massive issue with you posting this

I was on their site the other evening picking presents for my parents birthday

I purposely didnt enter the tab for that product because I knew this would lead to involuntary purchasing.

And now look what you've done to me. TW needed for that post I think.

I like Booja Booja. They had a Christmas Spice selection box last year that was divine.

And by the way, if you havent already had it, the chilli con choc choc is outrageous. The woman in the shop said people either love it or hate it. I loved it

The original Chococo shop is really close to where I live - they have a cafe, too. I try not to go past it too often...

A company you may not have heard of is Caragh Chocolates. Their chocs are yummy too https://www.caraghchocolates.com/

Oh thanks so much, never heard of any of these brands. Think I'll give the Chococo ones a go as they seem to be most recommended and I've just looked on the website and am very tempted to buy a box for myself before Christmas, just to check they'll be ok... 🤣

Well if you order the fresh chocolates, they need to be eaten in a particular timescale

You know what you need to do OP.....

Neuhaus. Best you can get.

I have found hotel chocolat to be increasingly disappointing over the past couple of years. Such a shame, as they were brilliant. My vote would go for Leonidas. Pick your own because surely no one likes surprise pineapple centres.

BraceletSleeves · 05/11/2024 18:41

Leonidas.

I dread to think what they work out at pounds per mouthful but blimey, they're worth it.

BraceletSleeves · 05/11/2024 18:43

Good to see I've got a chocolate twin @SprigatitoYouAndIKnow !

Mainoo72 · 05/11/2024 18:45

I agree with Chococo. They’re great chocolates.

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 05/11/2024 18:47

Leonidas for me too, and they do a select your own box so you only get the most delicious ones 😍

ohwhattododo · 05/11/2024 18:47

@SprigatitoYouAndIKnow totally agree about Hotel Chocolat.

@bubbletubble possibly not as 'posh' as you were thinking, but I found these M&S ones surprisingly nice:

Lovely thick chocolate, reminded me of how I remember chocolates being when I was a kid!
