As per the title - what’s the last cookbook that you bought?

I’m tempted to get the new Anna Jones, the last book I bought was the Tom Kerridge Pub Kitchen - although yet to cook from it…!

It was a Nigel Slater or one of Jamie Oliver's but I can't remember which.

David Lebowitz's ice cream book at the thrift shop this morning. Now to make room in the freezer for the ice cream maker!

RecipeTinEats: Dinner by Nagi Maehashi. I love her food and everything I've made so far is great.

I want quite a few of the ones listed. Like a pp I borrow them from the library if I can.

Ottolenghi flavour.

Sorry to hijack your thread, OP, but does anyone recommend any of The Batch Lady books?

I’m trying to become more organised with my batch cooking, and she seems to be the go-to, but I’ve watched a few of her batch cooking videos on YouTube and wasn’t overly impressed.

I know it’s supposed to be about saving time, but a couple of recipes seemed quite questionable. For example, she made a chili but added none of the usual herbs and spices a chili normally has (cumin, etc).

Of course there’s more than one way to make it, but I’m not sure if it will just be a book that never gets used based on some of the recipes I saw.

Another vote for Dinner by Nagi, its the first cookbook I've wanted enough in recent years to buy it. love her ethos as well as her food; she also runs a charity providing meals for homeless

The last few were Hairy Bikers. Gutted there won't be any more.

One about food in Ancient Egypt. From the bookshop on British Museum.

The Roasting Tin - Around the World.
Some cracking recipes and so very easy to do.

That was mine as well.
Then I had a very exciting expedition to a Chinese supermarket to get all the ingredients you can’t get in my town. Love Rukmini Iyer.

The roasting tin books I couldn't get with at all. Everything was dry & tasteless.
I think it's more food assembly than cooking. Although I normally love things like tray bakes & one pot dishes.

How strange, nothing comes out dry for me. I wonder if it’s a difference in our ovens.

Maybe, I do have a fan oven.
I made the steak pie recently & it was awful - dry & tasteless, even though I followed the instructions perfectly.
So I've given up on her books.

Bored of Lunch. All three of the existing ones and have since preordered the upcoming one.
Lots of great recipes for the slow cooker and air fryer.

@PablosTescoBar there's some recipes here if you want to trial it.

I've not got the book but love the sound of the concept. The raspberry brioche bake sounds like a fun weekend breakfast.
