What do roast potatoes go with apart from a roast dinner?

DP has some potatoes and goose fat so there are roast potatoes on the menu this week! Neither of us fancy 'a roast' though

What do you eat with your roast potatoes that isn't roast chicken / lamb / beef etc?

I had a fab hot pot dish once that was chunks of gammon in a thick cheese sauce. Put into bottom of a baking dish in a thick layer and put the roast potatoes on top. Shove onder the grill until the cheese is bubbling.

In Lithuania they serve roast potatoes with cold beetroot soup. Proof I think that they do go with everything. (It’s delicious by the way)

Put a layer in an ovenproof dish, squash roughly with a potato masher, squeeze a lemon over and drizzle with oil. Roast until crispy and brown and serve with fried eggs and sausage.

Ooo yes I could go for that. Was thinking more about replacing new potatoes (which tbh are gross£") with roasties with a plain saiad when I said that. Love roast potatoes. They are only going to add to most dishes!

Lamb shish, salad and rosemary roast potatoes is v good

My parents used to serve them with macaroni cheese. Double carbs! Utterly delicious!!
