What do roast potatoes go with apart from a roast dinner?

DP has some potatoes and goose fat so there are roast potatoes on the menu this week! Neither of us fancy 'a roast' though

What do you eat with your roast potatoes that isn't roast chicken / lamb / beef etc?

Sausages

Pretty much anything you can eat potatoes with. Maybe not salad.

Chops and cauliflower cheese.

I have them with a sausage dinner, or as a side to a pie.

@WhatNoUsername I’m making some now to go with my chicken salad 😆 if I’m making them for salad I do cut them slightly smaller though!
We have roast potatoes with loads of dishes, fish, chicken, steak…

Gammon steak and cauli cheese, surprisingly good with chicken Kiev.

Salad, especially a good old-fashioned round lettuce and salad cream.

We sometimes have roast potatoes with a curry if we’ve been eating a lot of rice lately. Really it would be hard to think of something they don’t go with :)

I love gammon with roast potatoes with baked beans.
My Mum used to do this.

Anything! We're having chicken with tomato and Basil with mozzarella tonight with roasties as the side.

Salmon fillets

Creamed leeks, maybe some sausages or meatballs or chicken as well

Gravy and cheese sauce with veg

Anything really, you could replace mash or chips in any or all meals or do mini roasties with a fry up

With lasagne, pie, casserole, quiche and salad.

I saw a great recipe for a take on Cottage Pie, it had crushed roast potatoes on the top instead of mash, with a sprinkling of cheese, and back in the oven until the cheese melts. Trying it tomorrow.

Shredded cabbage with chopped bacon. Add a bit of cream if you've any handy.

They most certainly do go with salad. And especially as described above.

With cheese and bacon on top, or with anything.

I can't think of anything other than breakfast cereal that they won't go with.

Anything - sausages (good ones) & veg are a favourite here, chops, chicken pieces etc. with fish it works well too

@Dymaxion It is! I often do a double batch of roasties just so I can have it for dinner the next day.

Lovely with stroganoff too
