Proper shortbread, who makes the best?

My brother loves shortbread, I've tried making it but to be honest I'm crap. I want to get him some really lovely proper shortbread. Where has the best? Other flavours also welcome.

Chrystals shortbread. We found it in Edinburgh and it’s delicious. It’s already been requested instead of a postcard by relatives for when we next go.

Deans of Huntley or M&S.

I thought I hated shortbread until I got given some and it was in 2 biscuit sealed inside a box, I discovered I actually quite liked it.

My Auntie made the best shortbread. I think of her every time I eat it. Of the shop bought variety M&S is quite nice.
