I’ll start - those square,overpriced rock-hard thin tasteless crackers that are everywhere- honestly pointless. Give me a basic cream cracker/Ritz/melt in mouth aldi garlic thingy - anything not rock hard with my cheese please!😀

I am wondering about how people manage to consider celery overrated.

I mean, you must really hate celery if you think it’s too highly rated by the population at large. It’s not something you hear anyone raving about!

@DogInATent never heard that!

@DogInATent is correct.

Caf-ay: Wooden tables, flowers or candles on the table, menus on fancy paper, chalk board table numbers, gentle art on the walls, £6 for a coffee, serves brunch. A carefully selected soundtrack playing over speakers.

Caff- Plastic tables, bottle of ketchup and those pourable sugar canister things on the table, menus laminated and have been the se since 1997, table number either written on the table of on a piece of laminated card, posters on the walls, £2.20 for a coffee, serves breakfast all day along with classics such as shepherd's pie and sausage and mash. Heart playing from an ancient FM radio in the corner.

Some of the best food I have ever eaten, and definitely the best tea, was from a caff. Because it's food for hungry people, who have worked very hard. When I worked building sites, it was manna from heaven.

My DH loves celery sticks with blue cheese dressing and lots of spicy hot chicken wings. I just don't get it at all.

Me too. As a kid during school holidays, I'd often go with my dad in his lorry if he was on "local" runs that week. Going to the transport caff was a highlight. They always smelt of chips and tomato sauce.

@PaperwhiteTheGhost Ah, love a really good greasy spoon!! My favourite is Terrys just off the southbank (legendary) and a really good one (been there forever) opposite station in Putney near the river.

Any meat 'pulled'.... Why??

Why wouldn't you? A joint of meat, slow-cooked in tasty ingredients and shredded. What on earth is going to be not good about that?! I make an amazing Mexican-style pulled beef and have it in burritos or tacos. It's one of my favourite things to cook!
