I want something I can cook in a frying pan (rather than having to go in the oven) and I don't mind if it's fake "meat" or chopped vegetables, but would love to have some recommendations as there are now so many out there!

For me, the most realistic ones are the Richmond ones.

Cauldron do some very nice ones too.

SunnieShine · 10/09/2022 09:47

I love Linda McCartney. The plain ones, not the red onion. I stash them in the freezer when they are on offer.

Inklingpot · 10/09/2022 09:48

Quorn Best of British and Cauldron are my favourites.

bunnypenny · 10/09/2022 09:48

Richmond! Best I’ve had with Beyond Meat a close second (beyond meat burgers are incredible)

ClocksGoingBackwards · 10/09/2022 09:49

I prefer the Linda McCartney ones that you get in the refrigerator section, not the frozen ones.

Iguanainanigloo · 10/09/2022 09:49

The Richmond veggie ones taste exactly like the normal ones 🤷‍♀️ makes you wonder what's actually in the "meat" version 😂

dalisdrippingclock · 10/09/2022 09:50

I really like the Richmond sausages. I quite like the Linda McCartney chorizo sausages in recipes.

Iguanainanigloo · 10/09/2022 09:51

The "this" ones are also very good, but the kids prefer the Richmond ones, and I love the fact you can cook the frozen ones exactly like you would a normal sausage, just straight in the pan with a little oil. We made a casserole with the Richmond ones last week, and it was lovely

AlexandraPeppernose · 10/09/2022 09:52

I have a fussy vegetarian and the only ones they'll eat are Richmond meat free fresh or frozen

NashvilleQueen · 10/09/2022 09:54

Richmond were game changers for me

ColinRobinsonsfamiliar · 10/09/2022 09:54

Richmond!
Absolutely delish!

WinterCarlisle · 10/09/2022 09:54

Richmond

Sandysandwich · 10/09/2022 10:07

I use richmond if I am eating sausages as a meal like sausages and mash, but if I was putting them in a toad in the hole type thing I use quorn because they are cheapper and take on the flavour of sauce/gravy really well

N0va · 10/09/2022 10:14

We get Richmond because they taste just like the Richmond sausages I used to love!

bluechameleon · 10/09/2022 10:18

PPs, if you used to eat meat and used to like good quality butcher's sausages, do you still like Richmond vegetarian? I used to hate Richmond pork sausages so I'm not sure I'll like the vegetarian ones...

paulmccartneysbagel · 10/09/2022 10:20

Garden Gourmet Cumberland sausages are really lovely.

MaryJoLisa · 10/09/2022 10:21

I like Linda Macartney sausages. I tried the Richmond ones as they were always mentioned on here as being the best and could not have been more disappointed. Tasted grim, odd texture, just gross. Binned the rest, couldn't bear to eat them.

Cyberworrier · 10/09/2022 12:46

I really don't like Richmond ones, maybe they are too meaty? I like lots of fake meat things, vegetarian for 25 years. I like Linda MacCartney best. And cauldron for a change.

WildImaginings · 10/09/2022 13:06

Richmond

kittybloom · 10/09/2022 13:14

Cauldron (Lincolnshire flavour best IMO) and, as an aside, Richmond fake bacon is excellent too.

ladydoris · 10/09/2022 13:26

Quorn and cauldron

Willowwarble · 10/09/2022 13:26

Richmond or Linda McCartney for me, both cook well in the air fryer as well.

Madamecastafiore · 10/09/2022 13:32

Future Farm Future Sausages.

You really wouldn't know they weren't real pork sausages.

LemonMuffins · 10/09/2022 13:37

Another vote for Richmond. Meatless Farm are also OK - not sure if you have those in UK?

inappropriateraspberry · 10/09/2022 13:51

Agree the Richmond ones are good for proper frying.
I've never been keen on Linda McCartney ones, they always seem very dry.
