McDreamy · 07/01/2008 19:05

Oh I was told not to bother with it as it's not one of her best! Sounds like I'd better invest

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 07/01/2008 19:06

I did the breakfast bars and they didn't firm up. What did I do wrong?

Will look later for what I have done to comapre notes.

The chocolate pistachio fudge is very yummy, but very rich. We have some in the freezer to dip into as we pass

Done the mustard lamb chops for DH and DD which they liked.

Rest of week's menu plan are from Nigella Express.

pedilia · 07/01/2008 19:06

Hulababy · 07/01/2008 19:10

I was supposed to do those lemon sole gougons tonight but my fish smelt very dodgy this evening - had to throw them

On the weekly planner this week I have her:

  • duck wraps (although using breast fillets not whole duck)
  • salmon with sugar snaps, avocado and watercress
  • steak with lemon and thyme
  • chilli - but will do a veggie version too
McDreamy · 07/01/2008 19:10

Ah good idea! Thanks

wheelybug · 07/01/2008 19:12

I am doing the salmon marinated in mirin and soy tonight(can't remember proper name)

pinkspottywellies · 07/01/2008 19:13

I made the fudge but used hazlenuts instead of pistachios, it was lovely. A friend made it with dried cranberries. Also yummy.

I also did the spiced peaches from the Christmas programme which were lovely with the ham on boxing day.

claricebeansmum · 07/01/2008 19:14

Not in the book but on programme and website was the ham in ginger alse - absolutely divine. Really scrmptious.

MrsCarrot · 07/01/2008 19:14

We had the asian chowder this evening and it was delicious.

Have also cooked the calamari with aioli and sticky mirin salmon with sushi rice.

They are all very quick and easy.

claricebeansmum · 07/01/2008 19:14

ginger ale!

tassisssss · 07/01/2008 19:14

the choc cookies are great, but if you do them the ice cream scoop method (very handy) they're MASSIVE

Pickie · 07/01/2008 19:14

Amazing how easy her receipes are! Never seen her in action though cooking

Mushroom and thyme linguine, pork in cider brilliant. Mellow Meatballs a major disappointment. Also, some of the instructions are a bit vague for a novice like myself. And far more puddings than you're going to cook I reckon.

loujay · 07/01/2008 19:20

Have done the burgers and chips which were yummy (although burgers are better when child tiny sized not adult sized)
Also done rocky road and am about to do the salmon with noodles thingy (slightly adapted)
Love it as it uses all the stuff you have bits of in the cupboard

MrsBadger · 07/01/2008 19:26

the white bean mash
very good but needs a lot of butter / oil

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 07/01/2008 19:29

Have made:

Croque Monsieur bake - lush
Macaroni cheese - vile, too eggy
Roasted chorizo, halloumi and pepper -divine
Potato and mushroom gratin - v good
Coleslaw - great with hot dogs

Twiggypiggy · 07/01/2008 19:34
