OK soup I have explained. So curry . Get campbells low fat chick soup (says 99% per cent ) . Get casserole bowl, add chicken cut up and soup and water or skimmed milk, then curry powder and peas. Cook for about hour and half on 150. serve with rice. The curry is about 4-5 points depending on amount of chicken( I use tesco skinless fillets and they are 2).

So add poits for rice depending on how much you have and voila

Tortington · 06/01/2008 21:29

Ok
Carrot soup
Spray oil
1 Onion, chopped roughly
1/2 leek, chopped
2 clove garlic, chopped
About 6 carrots peeled and roughly chopped
Coriander seeds
Black pepper and salt
Vegetable stock cube.

In a pot, spray the spray oil and sautee the veg for a few minutes. Add the coriander seed and stock and bring to the boil, simmer for about 20 minutes and then blend, add salt and pepper to taste.

Roasted veg soup
Spray oil
2 Onions, chopped roughly
1/2 leek, chopped
2 clove garlic, chopped
3 peppers, roughly chopped
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
a splash of balsamic
a large pinch of dried oregano and or thyme
Black pepper and salt
Vegetable stock.

Pre-heat the oven to about 200C
Spray a baking tray with oil. place the veg in the tray and spray with a more oil. sprinkle over the herbs and roast in the oven for about 15-20 minutes. Empty the contents of the tray into a pot and add the tin of tomatoes, top up with veg stock and cook on the hob for about 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and blend.

OK that will have to do you for now x

Cut a cauliflour into pieces. Cut 5 largish carrots into chunks.

Put in a pan. Pour in some water until not quite covering the veg. Bring to boil. Add a little salt and some lea & perrins if you fancy. Cumin also nice if you've any in the cupboard, but not essential. Once at boil, turn down the heat and simmer until veggies are tender. Blitz in processor or whiz with handheld whizzer.

Makes a surprisingly creamy tasting and delicious soup.

0 points.

(If you have a spare point to use up, start off by softening a chopped onion or a shallot in a teaspoon of oil for four to six minutes, then add the cauli and carrots, add boiling water, salt etc and continue as above. Also very nice.)

Cambells Chicken soup, do not dillute, add crushed garlic clove and some parsley. Instant Chicken and garlic sauce. Or use the Mushroom soup.

ArrietyClock · 06/01/2008 21:48

I know nothing about points (looked at thread as I didn't understand title to be honest!) but how about this:

Chop onion finely. Sweat in tiny bit of oil. Add 4oz red lentils, tin of chopped tomatoes, teaspoon of cumin (more if you like), pint and a half of veg stock and seasoning. Cook until lentils well done. Stir in juice of half a lemon, heat for a little long and serve. Yummy (or perhaps I have weird taste) and dead cheap too.

Vegetable no point soup. (My DD's love it too!!)

1 Onion
2 Carrots
1 courgette
1 tin chopped tomatoes
half pt veg stock.

Chop up veg, shove all in a pan for 20 mins; whizz it up; Bob's your uncle!!

Tortington · 07/01/2008 11:06

ohhhhhhhh ta
any more?

captainmummy · 07/01/2008 11:13

Best low-fat soup is watercress - chop 1 onion and dry-fry in saucepan, add about 1.5 pint stock, boil until onion is tender. Add watercress, heat until wilted, whizz up. Add skimmed milk if you want a creamy version (I always do) and heat a bit more. No idea how many points, but surely 1 onion, watercress and some milk can't be much?
