Anyone else finding it hard to buy Quorn sausages?

They appear to have disappeared from all my local supermarkets. Wondering if Quorn have stopped making them.

They were a staple of my weekly shop and I haven't found anything I like as much. There seem to be lots of vegan sausages which either have virtually no protein in them or taste grim.

Can anyone recommend a high protein veggie sausage that actually tastes nice.

Incidentally, have any other veggies noticed that veggie options in restaurants seem to be being replaced by (not as nice) vegan options? It's always been slightly depressing eating out as a veggie, but it seems to be getting worse and worse. I'm all for veganism if it floats your boat, but would have appreciated the trend not been so enthusiastically adopted at the expense of veggies. Or maybe that's just something that's happening local to me.

Couldn't find any cooked or frozen Quorn mince in two supermarkets today! Tescos, had the labels for both but empty shelf. Waitrose only sold the chilled but again, empty shelf.
Tesco had own-brand meat-free mince but wasnt sure if that was nice or not.

Even in wholefoods it’s - meat, fish, poultry and vegan shelves. No vegetarian. Some frozen Linda McCartney and Amy’s but the sausages/burger fridge is all horrible vegan offerings. Bleugh.

Yes Quorn sausages have completed disappeared in our local supermarkets and I completely agree with you about restaurant veggie options. Get away with your vegan alternatives!! Yuck 🤢

The thing is - I can’t see many swapping their meat sausage roll for a Quorn one. Meat eaters aren’t that keen form what I’ve seen. The occasional one when they have a blood test coming up or if they want to ‘be good’. This seems to be who they are going for - those who would normally eat meat but want the occasional non meat version.

The veggie alternatives are so fatty compared to the old Quorn stuff. The only Quorn left that I like is the ‘bacon’.
