What's the least appealing foodstuff/food name you've ever seen

I had a bit of a stomach churn when I unexpectedly came across www.ocado.com/webshop/startWebshop.do?pvalue1=american+coated&pname1=entry&pvalue2=yes&pname2=clearT abs&mainFrame=%2Fwebshop%2FgetSearchProducts.do. I don't care if they are a different nationality, it's still cannibalism to eat Americans.

French cereal called Plopsies

Mercy · 13/08/2007 21:34

lol!

Not a food name but many years ago when my mum went to Germany she came across a brand of toilet roll called 'Bum'

gross!

bran · 13/08/2007 21:44

Uggh Podmog, that is foul. I can't imagine that I would find it easy to eat that at anytime of the day, but breakfast is especially horrible.

Were the Plopsies brown m&j, like coco-pops?

I think a loo paper called Bum would actually encourage me to buy it, at least it's not called Sandpaper or something equally eye-watering.

that's exactly what they were like bran!

margoandjerry · 13/08/2007 21:54

ooh yes the aspic thing reminded me of two foul things I had in Tibet: chilli cabbage with tongue for breakfast and yak butter tea. Which is sort of tea with a lump of rancid yak butter in it.

pointydog · 13/08/2007 22:00

pickled egg

Kathyis6incheshigh · 13/08/2007 22:09

That Japanese soft drink Pocari Sweat.
I imagine the Pocari is some kind of animal that is made to run round very fast and towelled off, then the sweat-soaked towels wrung out into the can.

pointydog · 13/08/2007 22:11

Tripe

bran · 13/08/2007 22:15

Yeuch, I've heard of that cheese, I can only hope that I never have to see it, let alone eat it. [queasy emoticon]

Meatballs

Surfermum · 13/08/2007 22:16

Some Danish sweets called Spunk.

DuchessOfNorksBride · 13/08/2007 22:17

Oh yes, that pickled egg will take some beating. I'd add Spam to the list.

Margo&J, that does all sound awful but I try to be forgiving of other nations cuisines!

whomovedmychocolate · 13/08/2007 22:17

For those with a strong disposition this guy delights in eating bizarre stuff

Carmenere · 13/08/2007 22:18

I've eaten that cheese, or rather the Italian version of it. It was very nice actually, once you get over the stomach churning aspect.

mamama · 13/08/2007 22:18

lol @ Plopsies for breakfast.

pointydog · 13/08/2007 22:24

For fuck's sake, carmenere. You have driven me to swearing. You ate that rancid mess??

Carmenere · 13/08/2007 22:26

Yes, it is a delicacy and I was managing a cheese shop at the time and at a cheese convention in Italy. When in Rome and all that, (Turin actually)
