I know this thread was done a while ago, but I thought I'd resurrect it. As we've got into the same cycle of meals rut again, and I need inspiration! So, what are you having??!

OP posts:

sq - dd2 likes these, dd1 doesnt, although she would eat a boiled egg...hmmm, good idea. I'm going to make them my homemade chicken nuggets this week (see chicken nugget thread for yummy recipe) too.

OMG I wish I could work this printer properly! I've just gone through eight pieces of paper just to take down Emkana's recipe!

My DD also just likes pasta, tossed in some butter or olive oil with grated cheese on top. Have to say it is pretty yummy. And so simple. She also likes her pasta with just a coatding of green pesto stirred round too.

Tonight? This thread has just reminded me to take some tuna fillets out of the freezer. The three of us will have them with some baby corn, baby leeks and mage tout, and some rice I think too.

wish i hadn't seen all this, now feel totally inadequate. how on earth do people find time to cook all this stuff? and how on earth do they get their kids to eat such a variety of food? our dd seems to be constantly narrowing down her range of things she will eat, till we're down to about 4 meals she'll eat & just have to keep repeating them. she'd eat a roast dinner every night, fine if you've got 3 hrs to cook every day, but in the real world it's roast dinner once a week, then leftovers, then back to pasta for the other 5 nights!

Enid, how about pasta with jarred tomato sauce? My kids eat that all the time. You could even use whole wheat pasta and grate some cheese on top to make it even healthier.

Tonight we're in a bit of a rush so it's tuna sandwich and hummous sandwich and some couscous salad....

So long as my meeting doesn't drag on too late we will all be having tuna steaks (DD will have prawns instead maybe), rice and baby corn, asparagus and mange tout. If meeting makes me hit heavy traffic, then it'll be take away

Run ragged at the moment with 4 week old babe and 2 toddlers at home so...

DS1 and DS2 - sausages, potatoes, carrots and peas.

DS3 - cow and gate

Me and DH - Tesco fresh pasta (filled with ham and cheese I think) with Tomato and Marscapone sauce.

BTW - I always get Tesco Finest sausages for kids as they seem to have highest pork content - but if I got them from the butchers would they be even better??

Hulababy · 28/09/2004 20:08

Well meeting did run way over time, accident on motorway so not home until far too late to be bothered cooking. So we had take out pizza and fries all round.
