Mine's really strong/extra mature cheddar...what's yours?

Does cream cheese count.

MaverickSnoopy · 04/02/2018 17:05

No one for some baked camenbert?!

GrooovyLass · 04/02/2018 17:29

Ooooh that's a hard one. I'd say Blacksticks Blue, followed closely by Cambazola.

RustyBear · 04/02/2018 17:34

Red Leicester for melting/topping, Lancashire with biscuits, baked Camembert for a treat.

Tiddlywinks63 · 04/02/2018 18:08

Manchego followed by Gruyere or Emmental.

MonsieurBing · 04/02/2018 18:10

I've never met a cheese I haven't liked. But cambazola is my absolute favourite

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 04/02/2018 18:26

Manchego!

Eminybob · 04/02/2018 18:35

All of them.
Honestly, its far too hard to choose a favourite

SpoonfulOfJam · 04/02/2018 18:41

That's a tough question. Different cheeses suit different moods/ seasons.

I think it has to be Stilton at Christmas, on crackers with cranberry sauce.

But a good cheddar is so versatile and adds oomph to the must mundane of dishes.

JaneEyre70 · 04/02/2018 18:43

Brie on a baked potato......... all slidey and warm. Bliss.

Extra mature cheddar on crackers.

Mozzarella and ripe tomatoes in the summer.

I luffs cheese....but sadly my gallbladder has other ideas Sad

ShatnersBassoon · 04/02/2018 18:45

Cheddar so mature it makes yer tabs laugh, or Cheshire for the lovely salty crumbliness.

confusedandemployed · 04/02/2018 18:47

Oh, no I refuse to choose just one.

We always have the following at Christmas, so they're probably high on my league table:

Camembert
Epoisses
Old Amsterdam
Strong, strong cheddar
Stilton
Gruyere
Comte
Manchego

Mmmm cheese.

Wensleydale with cranberry. Love it on a cracker

Valerrie · 04/02/2018 19:02

Black Bomber but I'm partial to Brie on a digestive spread with Marmite, too.

BuzzKillington · 04/02/2018 19:03

I love so many cheeses, I can't choose one.

Last night we had manchego cheese with dh's quince jelly. My favourite evening is a cheese board with a good red wine. Or garlicky baked camembert with dh's ciabatta, parma ham and gherkins.

SingaSong12 · 04/02/2018 19:03

Mmmm cheese
Old amsterdam
Aged mimolette, but it's just not practical though I bought it chunked
In Paris

Extra mature cheddar

whatareyoueatingNOW · 04/02/2018 19:29

I love Cornish yarg. So subtle but strong and delicious

Dh would say Keens or Montgomery cheddar.

I love cheese and we had a cheese "cake" at our wedding. 5 rounds of cheese wheels. It was the best thing about the wedding GrinShockGrin

ScreamingValenta · 04/02/2018 19:31

Oh, yes, yarg is delightful. I'm definitely going to the deli tomorrow after reading this thread.

TefalTester123 · 04/02/2018 19:35

Montagnolo Affine - creamy blue german cheese from Sainsbury's and Waitrose.
Comté
Manchego
Epoisses and other particularly smelly ripe french ones
not many cheeses I don't like except the ones they sell around Christmas with fruit in them

Pickleshickles · 04/02/2018 19:38

My baby has cmpa so I'm unwillingly dairy free.

My answer therefore is all the cheese is my favourite. All of it.

MongerTruffle · 04/02/2018 19:41

Comté and cottage cheese

Elend · 04/02/2018 19:52

I'm a basic bitch when it comes to cheese. I like mozzarella. I like cheddar. I have some halloumi in the fridge but I have The Fear of it. I need a cheese intervention.

expatmigrant · 04/02/2018 20:57

Roquefort or a proper strong camenbert
