Right sorry, bottom right.
Next up is either pork leg or lamb shoulder, not quite decided.

Wow, fantastic!

SealSong · 28/02/2016 11:50

Good going!
So, how many people did that feed per meal, and how much was the initial joint of meat?
And how did you cook it?

I love your curry platter.

IHaveBrilloHair · 28/02/2016 11:54

It was £8.38.
I slow cooked it with a load of sliced onions, which became the French onion soup, each meal had two servings, one each for 14yr old Dd and me.

I am not fit to stand before you....

Gatekeeper · 28/02/2016 12:09

I love everything you've done and I esp like the idea of the metal platter dish for the curry night. Where did you get it?

MangosteenSoda · 28/02/2016 12:11

You are my heroine! I love your food threads. I want to eat every one of those dishes - they look so professionally presented. Even when my food tastes lovely, it still looks very DIY.

bimandbam · 28/02/2016 12:16

Wow they all look fantastic and really professional. I think I have done well if I remember to freeze leftovers for my mum!

IHaveBrilloHair · 28/02/2016 12:34

Thank you, I'm just a home cook, but I love playing about in the kitchen and meal planning.
I got the curry dish from Amazon.

How did you make the French onion soup, please?

IHaveBrilloHair · 28/02/2016 15:32

In this case it was just the onions and stock from the meat, but if making from scratch I use Delias recipe.

That is seriously impressive, Brillo!

Love the presentation of the dishes too. You should write a blog or something.

IHaveBrilloHair · 28/02/2016 16:01

I had one, I got bored with it!
There's so many out there that unless it's really brilliant not many people read them, and what I really wanted was to chat about food and share ideas and that wasn't happening.
I belong to a few FB groups now to chat/share photos etc, have even made friends that way.

Thanks, we often have slow cooker brisket but never thought of doubling it up with onion soup, great idea.

I love the way you present your meals. They look so appealing!

oldlaundbooth · 01/03/2016 01:27

Brillo, do you have a blog? (and another cool username that I can please have)

oldlaundbooth · 01/03/2016 01:28

Just seen your comment up thread, couldn't see it on phone.

You should do threads like these more often, very inspiring.

Iwasbornin1993 · 01/03/2016 01:32

Love this thread Brillo - every single dish looks so tasty! Would love to see more of your ideas for inspiration, please post again when you do your next joint Smile.

PhoenixReisling · 01/03/2016 10:56

Right off to buy a joint of brisket!

Defo will buy one of those curry trays.

Can I ask, when you made the curry/ragu/asain dish you reheated the brisket with spices/chopped tomatos/yogurt etc?
