I wish she'd just bought wine mixed herbs.

Kablooger · 24/08/2014 02:08

I freely admit To being pretentious - and a herb snob bit never called them herbes de Provence.
Yup. She decided I was lacking in the dried dust department.

I think the mixed crap is the annoyance too. If I want herbs I will use certain herbs not just "mixed".

I thought for a moment that seasoning stupidity had tipped you over the edge Smile

Mixed herbs...marjoram, basil, thyme, oregano

Herbes de Provence ... rosemary, savoury, marjoram. thyme, oregano

Thumbwitch · 24/08/2014 03:01

PMSL at Nerf! Grin

Mixed herbs in Australia are a different mix to UK mixed herbs. Heavy on the rosemary and therefore not useful. I had no issue with using Schwarz mixed herbs (but then I also have a full range of single herbs too, I'm just not a herb snob) but I don't use the Aussie ones because they're overpowering.

NickNackNooToYou · 24/08/2014 07:34

You are an herb snob Wink

mrspremise · 24/08/2014 15:46

Theyre great for sprinkling on top of egg-washed puff pastry for sausage rolls, pies etc. Don't be a snob.

Luxaroma · 24/08/2014 19:46

Bin them! I used dried rosemary, thyme, maybe sage with roast meat if I was caught short....never mixed! I am a food snob and proud of it! Grin
