I think it is in the soup section. Its like the little round noodle type things, may be in pasta though I dont know. I will look on the tesco site and see if its on there

melsy · 16/03/2004 10:34

Thank you . My sister recomended Pastini ?? I can only find a peter rabbit make in Ocado/ Waitrose.
Just want to start adding a bit of bulk to DD's food.

The only one I could find was here

fio2 · 16/03/2004 10:46

oops forgot to say they werent the ones I used and as I cant see them I dont know how big they are. I used the little round noodle type ones, which you get in say like cup a soup minestrone....do you know what I mean??

fio2 · 16/03/2004 10:47

are the pastini ones like macaroni? I know my dd had them when she was a bit older. Sorry I dont know how old your baby is. If she is finger feeding I always find the quick cook pasta is easier because it is softer and easier to chew and swallow

Marina · 16/03/2004 10:48

Or just mash up well-cooked ordinary pasta, Melsy - I couldn't find soup pasta easily either.
If you put a good ratio of sauce to pasta in you can even blitz it quickly in a blender but only for seconds or the pasta turns to mush.

Karensara · 16/03/2004 12:57

I just "whizz up" some normal spaghetti or pasta shapes (uncooked) in the mini blender until it is about the same size as grains of rice and then cook in boiling water as normal but for less time. Easy peasy!

nutcracker · 16/03/2004 13:01

I couldn't find them either when i wantewd some for DS. I am sure Farleys/Heinz used to do baby pasta stars, but they do seem to have dissapeared.
In the end i brought the little macaroni pasta and just chopped it up a bit.

Tetley · 16/03/2004 13:05

Baby Organix also do baby pasta - I used to get it at Tesco's - I'm sure they still stock it.

melsy · 16/03/2004 13:10

I have had same problem, when my first daughter was baby, six years ago I got her tiny pasta stars from boots(think boots own)
Now 2nd daughter needs them they dont do them, have found in tesco tiny pasta bows called Farfalline 375gram for 50p
Someone has told me m&s do pasta stars in there kids range.

Davros · 29/03/2004 16:50

haven't seen mini pasta in M&S but haven't looked...... Last week I found Peter Rabbit's organic baby pasta and a nice sauce in Safeway. Not tiny pasta though.

Lisa78 · 29/03/2004 17:17

Damn! Wanted to do my monthly shop at Melsy's expense

sinclair · 30/03/2004 15:23

Easy route is just cook your usual pasta and then chop up with kitchen scissors. You can increase lump size as child grows and they get used to the look of whatever you usually buy too.

maomao · 30/03/2004 15:31

ummm..... what about cous cous? That's what I use.
