Do you think it would be ok to serve jacket potatoes with sausage casserole?

We have eaten so much mash lately that I fancy a change.

Would it be a weird combination?

suzywong · 17/05/2006 14:53

Orlando · 17/05/2006 14:54

God. Sounds like heaven to me. can I come round for tea at yours?

sandyballs · 17/05/2006 14:54

Yum, sounds fine to me.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 17/05/2006 14:54

I like baked potato and sausage cassarole :)

(why do some people say baked and some say jacket - is there a difference between them or does it depend on where you are from?)

Blossomhill · 17/05/2006 14:56

Grin Do you know what though Pinkkerplink I call on mumsnet for such trivial things because I know someone will always be there to answer.
Like having a friend on tap really :)

Infact having rich onion sausage casserole and it is delicious. Going to put it in the slow cooker for a couple of hours so the sausages are nice and soft.

I'm sorry but baked spuds are only any good when covered with at least 3 different kinds of dairy product
It's mash all the way for me with casserole!
But seeing as it's your own perverted choice then...
well....

KateF · 17/05/2006 14:58

Absolutely - sounds great to me Smile

Bozza · 17/05/2006 14:59

I think they are great together.

Blossomhill · 17/05/2006 15:02

Piff - hehe Grin I agree but have honestly eaten mash until it comes out of my ears (and to be honest can't be bothered to peel the potatoes)

Good point BH!

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 17/05/2006 15:04

Its not like i mind people ignoring my question or anything Wink

oliveoil · 17/05/2006 15:05

what about baker chips (or that is what I call them)

slice up spuds into eighths or sixth (sounds like I have a lisp), cover with olive oil (!) and roast for about 30 mins depending on size. Don't peel them, skin on.

I sometimes make then spicy by mixing chilli powder or cumin etc with the oil.

My extremely fussy eaters eat these so they must be ok.
