my dd is now 11 mth and i'm slightly panicking about what i can give her to eat. dd's childminder gave her a sandwich after i specifically asked her not to, then claimed today that, after giving her another one, she hadn't heard me.Angry

dd eats banana and loves it, tried melon, loves toast but what else can i do? pleeeaaaaaaaase help !

Getting some suggestions her too.
I don't think you're silly fransmom, i was MUCH more scraed about my first daughter eating and choking, i find when dd2 (13 months) chokes i'm really calm and just say, 'spit it out Darling' Grin
She has basically what we eat but i often get stuck!
BTW, my dd only has 2 teeth still (as my Mam keeps reminding me, i'm sure she thinks she's in a race to colloect a set!) and gets through mince so they manage somehow!

My dd likes cheese, ham, jam, TBH layelt she LOVES a big peice of fresh bread dipped in anyyhing, sopu, stew.....

Cheese sandwiches have always been the favourite with my two. Or philadelphia type spread. She might struggle with ham etc if she is not used to it yet.

possibly, have been thining about it for a couple of weeks. was going to say it's hard fitting it in with everything but realised it was a very weak reason as it could save her life at some point. i'm not trying to tempt fate with that either. when she was choking on that piece of toast before xmas, i had to call ambo out; even though she managed to gulp it down while i was still talking to the operator (they keep u on phone, good idea as it stopped me going complete panic) they still checked her for me. i actually got told off for doing instinct, putting her over my lap and slapping her back between her shoulders - which didn't work btw. they said it couldve made it worse, which does make sense really.
