My ds will have anything with ketchup. He's 3 and such is life. Particuarly scrambled eggs. He's just branched out into a love of english muffins and has always been a fussy so and so.
I'm luckier with my dd who will eat pretty much anything, and thankfully hasn't minded joining in with my pregnancy cravings. Most recent one is lasagne which she'll happily eat, as well as anything spicy, so couscous, any kind of stir fry or some noodles. Baked potatoes also a hit, and I don't mind preparing different toppings for them, whereas havign to prepare whole different meals is a royal pita. But both of them adore a simple roast, just the meat, mashed potatoes and a few veggies. The one meal a week they're guaranteed to eat all of.

Chicken Fried Rice.... Cooked chicken shreds stir-fried with cooked brown rice, various chopped vegetables (peppers, peas, corn etc), spring onions, garlic, ginger and seasoned with soy sauce and a little sesame oil. Disappears rapidly.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 24/02/2012 08:18

They have a few ... weirdly, haggis neeps & tatties is one they all clear their plates of! Others are sticky pork & rice, a tradtional roast and wraps with various fullings (sausage being a fave).

thestringcheesemassacre · 24/02/2012 08:23

pasta with garlic oil and cheese, they gobble it down without the usual 30 mins coercing.

chezchaos · 24/02/2012 08:23

DD (3) and DS (9m) both adore cheese omelette with salad

jollyoldstnickschick · 24/02/2012 08:28

Ds1 (aged 18,Blush loves potato waffles with beans, egg and bacon.
Ds2 (aged 16) likes cheesy mash/jacket potatoes or a burger
Ds3 9aged 11) spaghettu bolognese or lasagne.

Mine even the eldest enjoy their tea/dinner more if its cooking when they get in ...if im undecided or ask what theyd like it takes the pleasure away lol.....ds1 has been known to ring me from uni ask whats for tea? on hearing its waffles he comes home with a Grin on his face.

Beanbagz · 24/02/2012 09:17

Normally risotto though tonight we're having lamb & pea curry with rice which is a dish where they always ask for seconds. DCs are 10 & 7.

How about getting you DS to help cook dinner one night? That might get him interested in mealtimes.

bigbadbarry · 24/02/2012 09:31

Fajitas. they would have them every night. Grin

EightiesChick · 24/02/2012 10:02

Pasta is never scorned. Cheesy pasta in particular though bolognaise is also favoured.
Sausages and beans are also pretty much always acceptable (sometimes together, sometimes with other things).
Pancakes

chipmunksex · 24/02/2012 11:55

ds (13) loves fish and chips above all things. close 2nd is spaghetti and cheese (no sauce weirdo Hmm) or steak and chips.

dd (9) loves crab or prawns on their own. Cheese and crackers.
Oh she used to be such an easy child to feed now she moans at everything I put in front of her.

Oh yes they both love fish, the more expensive the better; lemon sole, sea bass, calamari, it does make them look good in restaurants, whilst at the same time makes it too expensive for us to go.

wordfactory · 24/02/2012 19:28

Roast chicken with the trimmings always goes down very well.
And chicken stir fried in soy, ginger, honey and orange with noodles.

DS also adores fish and chips.
DD adores nachos with chilli, cheese and sour cream.

wordfactory · 24/02/2012 19:29

Oh and meatballs.
Both love meatballs with spaghetti.

TheScottishPlayer · 24/02/2012 19:31

Chicken fajita wraps.
Cheesy pasta (pasta in tomato sauce with loads of hidden veg topped with grated cheese)
Tuna pitta pockets (tuna, sweetcorn, mayo)
Fish fingers, chips and peas.

TheCunningStunt · 24/02/2012 19:32

SHepards pie, Spag Bol, lasagne and any pasta. Although...I must say I am yet to find a plate of food mine won't eat!! They eat everything...which sounds great, but they eat quite a lot.

TheDetective · 24/02/2012 19:35

DS (9) loves Tacos! Second best is mash, sausage and gravy!

He loves all the Old El Paso stuff to be honest, tacos definitely top the list! Fajhitas, burritos, crispy fajhitas....!

fivegomadindorset · 24/02/2012 19:38

really struggle to get DD to eat, she will find something and then weill eat it everyday until she decides she doesn't like it.

Successes have been chicken and pea risotto, chicken, mashed potato and ceg with gravy, plaice in breadcrumbs but not fishfingers, wraps used as a pizza base with something on top but no cheese.

DS will eat anything, weirdly both will clean their plate fo everything but tend to leave the meat.

fivegomadindorset · 24/02/2012 19:39

Toad in the hole is also popular.

Brices · 24/02/2012 20:49

DD (1) fishfingers

sharond101 · 25/02/2012 22:44

My ds is still growing in my tummy just now but with my sister who was a faddy water cheese and finely chopped vegetables mixed into pasta worked or a bowl of lentil soup followed by a hot pudding. Eggy bread and cheesy beans was enjoyed as Dad cooked it as were homemade fritters at gran's house. Sometimes though she was not to be pleased and dinner was a bowl of weetos and petis filous. Me, I ate anything!

turbulenteddy · 25/02/2012 22:54

ds1 (20 months) loves RICE, expects at least one bowl a day. Plain as you like, white or brown, Basmati favourite. He'll have it with brocolli, baby corn and/or peas, and will eat fish and bacon, other meat not so much, sometimes I can slip in a mouthful of mince or chicken. I don't expect it will last!
