If so which ones?

It's one of the few things that DD (2.4) won't try which is a shame because it would be such a useful lunch during the colder months.

Any winning recipes?

DS (7) hates it - has since he was a toddler
DD (5) loves it - any sort, faves leek and potato, carrot and thyme, butternut squash etc. She likes dipping rolled up wraps in it. Hmm

IME, they like what they like. Mine have totally different palates. DS is esp sensitive to different textures.

Thanks for the recipes- they sound great and the idea of alphabet noodles is inspired- I can see her going for that.

We're lucky in that she will eat virtually all vegetables in their original form but she seems to be one of those people who like to eat each food separately

Mine wouldn't either until recently. I've had some success with the 'rooty soup' and cauliflower recipes from the River Cottage Baby and Toddler cookbook. Butternut squash can be a bit hit and miss.

I'm going to trawl this thread for other ideas, as it's so easy just to defrost some soup and have it with bread if all if I'm disorganised else fails.

Tomato soup. Out of a tin usually, sometimes homemade.

When my DD had her traintrack braces fitted I was bloody grateful she could take it to school in a flask (and it was Heinz!!).

Processed tomatoes are healthy, by the way.
