This is really just an unashamed attempt to garner more ideas to feed my lad. What foods does your fussy child almost always agree to?
For us thankfully it is semi healthy
Felaffel patties and crackers and hummus (1yr old).

my little boy (just over 1) would only eat bloody petit folous (SP). Gradually he has started on the old favourite of rast dinners and he seems to eat if we are all eating together. He also likes things liked baked beans and spagettie hoops and macaroni chesses. Its been a very gradual and frustrating process.

mumtosomeone · 28/08/2005 08:18

Mine love sweet and sour too
chicken tikka masala
well anything really

spikeycat · 28/08/2005 08:18

So has he head breakfast?
What does he like for breakfast?

Nixz · 28/08/2005 09:06

Mine likes roast dinners, brown rice and veggies wrapped in a chapati - can eat on the go - she loves that! Baby tapas is her favourite, cheese, ham, babana, crisps and corn on the cob or other similar snacks to nibble at!
She wont eat bread or sandwiches that good which is a pain when i want a quick lunch, unless its a fishfinger one! wont eat butternut squash or sweet pots, so i just mix them in with normal mash. She is otherwise excellent at eating veg.

Nixz · 28/08/2005 09:09

she also loves wholemeal pasta, spesh with chicken and pesto or as a salad with cucumber and apple and chicken!

yawningmonster · 28/08/2005 09:10

yes to bfast it used to be his best meal and now is one of the worst. He gets offered
Porrige with pureed fruit
Fruit Toast or Toast and Spread
Muffin Splits
Scrambled Eggs
Breakfast Biscuits with fruit salad
Home made rice pud
Pancakes with fruit
Mostly at the moment it is met with a glare and a scream.

yawningmonster · 28/08/2005 09:23

OP posts:
Ameriscot2005 · 28/08/2005 09:25

You'll learn, LOL

yawningmonster · 28/08/2005 09:35

? You mean they really are the answer to sir fuss alots refusal to eat bfast, will really consider them if this is the case (am sure the bank manager will extend the mortgage once I explain it is for cocoapops)

It is a lot easier to give cold cereal than anguishing over the cooked breakfast that was destined for the bin.

What do you have for breakfast yourself? Kids are great at sharing when you sit down to eat together.

yawningmonster · 28/08/2005 10:10

generally I make bfast for me and then offer him a portion of the same, if he doesnt eat it, the dog gets a treat, in fact have had to keep dog in kennel at meal times as when he is really adverse to what I am serving he misses out all the middle steps and chucks it straight into her anticipating jaws!
