YES! Is that the free running one? It was great, astonishing continuous shots and free running stunts by the real deal. There is apparently a sequel but haven't seen it.

The women 1939 version is superb, I totally agree DF

DuelingFanjo · 22/02/2010 18:59

FGTH - isn't it. A long film but so worth watching. I thought the remake tried to stay faithful to it in parts but not as great as the original of course.

weegiemum · 22/02/2010 19:02
  1. Last film I saw - 'UP', on DVD at the weekend
  2. Last good film I saw - see above. I cried my eyes out at a Pixar animation. On an adult level - either Shawshank when it was on TV a couple of weeks back, or the Kite Runner.
  3. Best Film I have ever seen - Local Hero. It is so gentle, so evocative of a part of the world I love so much, so full of lovely little humorous touches and surprises.

Yes I agree. I didn't bother watching the remake, to be honest. I tend to snob remakes, in general.
