Afraid of horror films at my age.

I'm 40 years old and the thought of watching horror films really does scare me. Has anybody seen the latest Friday the 13th series crystal Lake? There are scenes on there that I have come across and I really did find them very revolting. What films have you watched that you would never watch again despite your age?

No, I don’t watch them. The older I’ve got the more afraid I am of having those images in my head as I know they don’t go away.

I haven’t watched Hell raiser for over 30 years, can remember every horror scene.

There’s a lot of stuff I’d like to unwatch.

The only one I’ve ever ‘liked’ was Saw as my friend told me it wasn’t a horror. I thought it was incredibly clever.

Origional Nightmare On Elm Street I watched it when I was around 21 (I’m now 60) horrible film!

It’s fine. I don’t watch them generally but for a couple such as Eden Lake like the pp, and Saw. I haven’t since as it’s just too much graphic violence.

I like clever ones, or ones with some humour. Just gore, no. But the first Saw was clever, the TV series Scream/Carrie are good. I prefer some kind of story, and I suppose it's more like a thriller/mystery.
