What to watch with my teenagers tonight to get into the Christmas spirit?

My teenagers kids aged 11, 13 and 15 tell me they don't feel the Christmas spirit! I want to do a cozy dinner tonight with a great film and treats. What can I watch? It doesn't have to be a Christmas film as long as it makes you feel Christmassy.

I've got Netflix and Amazon prime. Thanks!

Christmas Chronicles

Not sure where it’s on, but my teenager has requested Scrooged with Bill Murray. So that’s what we will be doing.

REP22 · 23/12/2023 13:55

My niece and nephew are teenagers (eek!). Muppet Christmas Carol always does it for them 😊Have a good time! x

Seconding Muppet Christmas Carol. We all love it, all ages.

Also the Disney version of scrooge with Jim Carrey.

andIsaid · 23/12/2023 14:19

We quite Dash and Lilly on Netflix. sweet.

He hates Xmas. She loves it. They meet through a book in a book shop.

NancyJoan · 23/12/2023 14:21

Muppets.

Umtydumpy · 23/12/2023 14:23

@sundaefraise Scrooged is starting on tv on channel 4 very soon!

DC 15&17 watched Home Alone last night, Grinch the night before and tomorrow is Muppets (no idea what tonight is yet!)

SkankingWombat · 23/12/2023 14:55

Gremlins!

TR888 · 23/12/2023 15:53

We've already seen a few of those but not all. Keep the ideas coming!

Die Hard. Warn the 11 yo that they are not to repeat anything Bruce says.

GoatsareGOAT · 23/12/2023 16:09

My teens love Arthur Christmas & Klaus

(also spirited but I think that's Apple)

gotomomo · 23/12/2023 16:11

Slightly older here- we are heading to a local pub for a Christmas carol singalong, a local musician is playing the piano, proper old school entertainment.

TwentyThreeFifteen · 23/12/2023 16:14

Grounded.
Home alone
Deck the halls
Scrooged

We save muppets Christmas carol until Christmas Eve as Kermit sings ‘there’s only one more sleep ‘til Christmas…’

imip · 23/12/2023 16:15

Nativity for my same aged dc last night. Die hard tonight, but they are big Brooklyn 99 fans!

charliecoopershair · 23/12/2023 16:16

Mine enjoyed Candy Cane Lane on Prime.

Icouldbehappy · 23/12/2023 16:16

Krampus!

Noddy21 · 23/12/2023 16:17

We love The night before the night before Christmas. It’s so fitting for today as well

PolizeiobermeisterWache · 23/12/2023 16:19

Second vote for Die Hard. Me and teenage DCs watched it last year for the first time and are going to watch it again tomorrow.

Gizlotsmum · 23/12/2023 16:22

Are there any films you used to watch at Christmas for my 2 it is the Muppets Christmas Carol, Elf or the Polar Express.

seagull82 · 23/12/2023 16:46

National lampoons Christmas vacation or Scrooged.

PuppyMonkey · 23/12/2023 16:48

The Saturday night before Christmas is designated Die Hard night in our house.Grin

Shodan · 23/12/2023 16:53

Christmas with the Kranks is fun, as is Deck the Halls.
