We all loved Encanto!

I loved Luisa - particularly her song Surface Pressure about being the one everyone expects to do the (literal & metaphorical) lifting.

I liked that the majority of magical characters were female.

My kids love the songs, especially We Don't Talk About Bruno and the overall storyline. We felt quite sorry for Maribel though, for being without powers.

My son and I loved Encanto and have watched it at least 5 times now in the space of 2 months.

We loved the catchy tunes and how the main character came across as the outcast at the beginning gifts wise but all along she had the biggest gift and her lovely personality really blossomed and made those who misjudged her and underestimated her realise that without her everything could've been over. It shows how you can be gifted and important without even knowing it and that even if you feel like you are less worthy than others it can often turn out to be the complete opposite.

This is a very positive movie for my son who sometimes worried he is not as gifted at certain things as others and this is ok as we are often gifted in other ways unbeknown to us. We will probably watch this movie another 10 times or more!

I recommend this movie for primary school children boys and girls upwards and also older kids and adults who love fiction movies like this with some Catchy musical bits in there. My son is 10 and knows all the words to the songs.

What were your favourite parts of the film?
The songs, of course! 🎶we don’t talk about Bruno, no no no.🎶
That and Surface Pressure. I loved that it wasn’t a go out and have an adventure type of story. It was all about family and was almost all set in the house.

Who would you recommend the film?
Everone! From small children to adults, I think it’s enjoyable for all ages. I watched with my 14 year old son and he’s as obsessed with the soundtrack as I am! 😁

What did other members of your family think of the film?
Couldn't get my stupid DH to watch but did convince my 14 year old and he loved it! I thought he might consider this babyish or uncool but he’s watched it 3 times already and we've streamed the soundtrack loads.

What were your favourite parts of the film?

The ending / resolution. And lots of long complicated conversations afterwards trying to figure it out
Who would you recommend the film? I recommended it to my mother but I don't think she could follow it that well.

In general I'd recommend it to any family with girls, also adult women / mums.
What did other members of your family think of the film?
Adults liked it more than the children, but daughter liked it more than our sons

We all loved the film, esp the fact there were a mix of characters and reflected the mix of ethnicities in south America.

We loved how the story erupted into song throughout the film. We loved the story of Maribel throughout the film and her relationships with her family members.
I would recommend it to primary kids and teenagers and even older adults. I'ss an enjoyable watch for all, we have watched it a few times already and are likely to show it to a lot more visitors to our home
