Really enjoyed this. Good story, entertaining, warm, funny.

Stunning artwork, amazing. Worth seeing for that alone.

Music good, works well, but not as good as the original.

Went with four girls aged 8-12 who all loved it too.

Dd class is going to see it in a week or so, she cant wait

Greenbutterlfy566 · 24/11/2019 08:43

Anyone waiting to see it around Christmas?

justilou1 · 24/11/2019 09:45

Omg... I have two teenaged daughters who want to go to the movies next week to see something totally snooze-worthy. Can you guess what I’m going to see instead?

ThanksItHasPockets · 24/11/2019 14:17

It is pretty dark in places. Elsa and Olaf both die, albeit temporarily. My 5yo DD found the giants a bit scary.

Sharonthetotallyinsane · 24/11/2019 14:32

I didn’t love it although the colours and animation were incredible.
I find Elsa’s song too shouty. Blush

TheCountessatHotelCortez · 24/11/2019 15:48

Just been to see this with 10 year old, 6 year old and 4.5 year old. Older 2 loved it, younger one enjoyed the action parts, the colours and the music but was a bit restless during the more talky bits. I personally loved it though!

icecreamsundae32 · 24/11/2019 16:16

Well I went with my 2 yo and we both enjoyed it. She was fascinated by lots of it and wasn't scared at all. She was bit restless at the start because after half hour of trailers she'd already been waiting ages but she soon got into it! I thought it was very good and def open for a 3rd!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 24/11/2019 17:37

Just saw this today.

Olaf was amazing - especially his recap of film 1. Loved the cheesy boyband style song from Kristoff.

So so realistic their expressions, the scene with Elsa in the sea had me feeling so tense it was so scary. Loved the water horse.

bluechameleon · 24/11/2019 17:48

I took 5 year old DS1 yesterday. He got pretty restless and did ask me when it would finish at one point but overall he enjoyed it. I'm not sure how well he followed the plot though, it was a bit complicated. I loved it.

ElsasSalamander · 24/11/2019 18:31

I took DD (5) to see it yesterday - we loved it! She found the earth giants a little scary & I don’t think she fully understood that Elsa & Olaf (kind of) died, but she thought Olaf was hilarious, loved the salamander, loved the songs & was completely mesmerised by the whole thing.

I totally agree with thr33andme - Show Yourself was the standout song of the film for me, the whole scene was amazing & made me cry! I also liked how they linked the story into the first film with the song sung by the forest people.

icecreamsundae32 · 24/11/2019 18:43

@bluechameleon yes the plot was def complicated for little ones but I think they are just happy to see the characters.

LikeARedBalloon · 24/11/2019 20:18

I saw this today and loved it! The olaf recap made me cry with laughter and then the forest people singing the opening song from the first film just made me proper cry! The first film was me and my daughters special film...she is now 8 and also loved the 2nd film. Although the sad part with olaf made us both sob. She also found the rock giants scary.

secretfreckle · 24/11/2019 23:54

Went tonight with both daughters (14 and 16).
Olaf made us cry with laughter ('Samantha?' and the recap of Frozen). We had heard on the radio that there is an extra scene after the credits, but it was a long, long wait and not very funny.
It was really enjoyable, although the songs aren't as good as in Frozen. The scene in the sea with the horse was brilliant.

hiphiphoorayback · 25/11/2019 21:16

I think I may be the only one in the world that thought this was a bit rubbish
The children at the showing I went to were fidgeting, getting up and seemed thoroughly bored too! Grin

Sharonthetotallyinsane · 26/11/2019 06:42

I didn't particularly enjoy it Hip. My desire to know what was going to happen is what held my attention, rather than the events themselves.

ContessaLovesTheSunshine · 27/11/2019 21:57

It’s twenty minutes too long and there was a noticeable lull where the small children in the cinema became very restless.

I agree with this - DS1 and 2 are 8 and 7 and wriggled a bit at times. However the majority of it was excellent. I loved Kristoff ("My love is not fragile ) not saving the day, although it would have been nice to see him a bit more. The focus was on the sisters though, as it should be.

The story was fab in its emotional depth - I don't know if Elsa is queer or not but she's definitely pathologically nervous and so scared of getting it wrong, of being wrong. I empathise quite strongly with that and her swings between fear and mad bravery, then a growing climb to confidence... Also Anna, at a very sad bit, where she sings about just having to get on with it, basically. #truth.

Last but not least: stunning animation, simply breath-taking!

I loved it! The animation is absolutely stunning and I liked the story. I’ve had the soundtrack on repeat all week. My favourite is The Next Right Thing, followed by Show Yourself and Lost in the Woods.

I saw it with a bunch of Brownies (age 7-10) and most of them were confused by the plot. But still enjoyed the film. I think the leaders probably enjoyed it the most though.

darkriver19886 · 30/11/2019 20:21

Can't believe Disney are pushing Into The Unknown as their main single to rival Let It Go. It's quite clearly Show Yourself. The entire scene was absolutely incredible. The animators did such an amazing job.
Agree with this!

Rosepetals30 · 30/11/2019 20:28

I loved the second and I was as keen as a 7 year old on the original. Borderline obsessed.

But this one was darker, my kids were scared at one point (one was sobbing her heart out)

I actually prefer Into The Unknown as soon as the closing credits kicked in with Panic At The Disco’s version.

I enjoyed this film more than the first, though I did find it slow to get into. I did expect the whole thing to be a let down but I was wrong!

Rosepetals30 · 30/11/2019 20:29

And the ending just felt right, like Elsa was where she felt she belonged

Ohfrigginghellers · 01/12/2019 18:41

To be fair though The Unknown is the tune we have remembered

Ohfrigginghellers · 01/12/2019 18:46

When did the parents die? I thought they were in the original?

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 01/12/2019 18:49

My DD found it scary and sad in parts and was sat on my knee crying saying she wanted it to stop.

I didn't love it like I did the first and none of the songs have stuck in my mind.
