Hilarious!

As good as the first one. Puss in Boots, voiced by Antonio Banderas, is hysterical.

Is it out in the UK yet?

Not til summer Kate.

lilibet · 28/05/2004 13:15

I can't wait!

gold123 · 28/05/2004 13:36

My brother who lives in Canada, went to see it yesterday and he said how good it was

WideWebWitch · 28/05/2004 22:31

2 June isn't it? I'm really looking forward to it!

mammya · 29/05/2004 00:47

Ooooh, I can't wait... It'll be the first time my dd goes to the cinema as well, I've told her about it, and EVERY DAY she asks me when we're going to see Shrek (I suspect she thinks we're going to visit him in RL!)

batey · 29/05/2004 06:17

Are there many "scary" bits? My dd2, just 4 liked Shrek 1 but only 'cos the dragon was a girl! She can be a bit of a woos at times so I'd love to know in advance. Dd1 can't wait to see it!

KateandtheGirls · 29/05/2004 12:50

There was one bit that my 4 year old said was "scary", where they go into a dark and nasty pub full of losers. But she wasn't really scared. I would think anyone could see it.

Do the proclaimers do the sound track?

KateandtheGirls · 29/05/2004 15:12

I didn't notice any of their songs in it, but I may have missed it.

Thanks for that! that'll be the moment I'll suggest a loo trip for dd2 then!

highlander · 31/05/2004 23:53

saw it a couple of nights ago. Totally hilarious, but I felt the humour was very adult-orientated (DH disagrees!)

Agree with you Kate - Puss in Boots is the star!

yamamoto · 02/07/2004 03:08

second rate second film. The idea of John Clease as the voice of the princess's father added insult to injury. Not an original idea or thought in the whole film. Kids and I V dissapointed. 3/10

Frenchgirl · 03/07/2004 14:15

really yamamoto???

Saw it yesterday and absolutely loved it, really hilarious, not a dull moment!! At least as good as the first one for us!

Twinkie · 03/07/2004 14:18

Loved it soo did DD (4 years) and friends son (5 years) - DD said it was better than the last one too and us 4 adults loved it.

10 out of 10!!

emsiewill · 04/07/2004 12:49

Went to a charity premiere of this last night, and everyone there seemed to love it - even Charlotte Church .

I love the imagination in this kind of film - the potion factory, all the detail of Far Far Awayetc, etc..
In this house, our favourite is Puss....in Boots!

crunchie · 04/07/2004 14:51

I thought this was great, real laugh out loud stuff. My kids loved it too (5 and 3) I think there is a lot of adult stuff that keeps us happy as well as plenty for the kids. Very clever, almost better than Shrek itself.

tammybear · 04/07/2004 14:54

i love it, think its much better than the first but i think dd prefers the first one as she didnt really sit there and just watch it

Tissy · 04/07/2004 14:56

has anyone done the game on the website? It's driving me mad because I can't find the first "happyever after ingredient"-
