<rolls eyes>

Dylan looks very…muscular compared to lady GaGa and that grin…it really does make me cringe

Compared to the video, you can definitely see how photoshopped the pictures are

Dylan Mulvaney and Lady Gaga spark backlash over IWD photoshoot

Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney and popstar Lady Gaga have been attacked by vicious trolls for a joint International Women's Day post.

Isn't GaGa trans? Like Taylor Swift?

This has been repeated several times but no she is not. Neither is Taylor Swift. It’s misogynistic crap people spew because they hate successful women

Ugh. Lady GaGa has made a statement that she supports the photo and we should be supporting “all women”. Would love to support an all woman photo. Pity it wasn’t one

I saw that - the usual predictable accusations of ‘hate’ because objecting to men being paraded around and fawned over on IWD is terribly hateful.

I guess if your ideal standard for biological women does not include black women, muscles are a sign of not being feminine. It is possible to have an issue with someone like Dylan without slipping into misogynoir. White women are not the the sole template for biological women, black women often look more muscular and are frequently body shamed for it.

Whaaaat?

Taylor Swift trans? Just when you think you've heard it all

Josette77 · 14/03/2024 04:50

What's wrong with women having muscles?

I know women who are far more muscular than Dylan.

Seems an odd thing to comment on.

Are women supposed to look a certain way?

That's interesting on a post about international Women's day.

This, this, this.

FreckleHeckle · 14/03/2024 07:01

Oh give over, Dylan is built like a man, not a black woman.

There's a massive difference between a muscular female physique and a male one. Muscular black women still have breasts and hip curves and bottoms!

Very few women have a physique like Dylan, very straight up and down, no curves, all slim muscle, and broad shoulders. regardless of race.

Socrateswasrightaboutvoting · 14/03/2024 07:53

It's a lazy, misogynoir laced description. That you choose to defend it says much. It is possible to take issue with Dylan and Lady Gaga's collaboration in this particular context without racial bias.

FreckleHeckle · 14/03/2024 08:23

How Is it racially biased to say a man looks like a man and most women don't look like a man??

Get over yourself. Are you really saying that black women look like men cause that seems kinda.... unkind and untrue.

Soubriquet · 14/03/2024 08:37

I was trying to say Dylan still looks very manly without using the words because I know sometimes saying they look like men can get threads deleted. I’ve seen many muscular black women…and funnily enough they still look like women!

OP posts:
Socrateswasrightaboutvoting · 14/03/2024 14:14

Unfortunately that's not the reality for many black women.

Josette77 · 14/03/2024 15:17

I've seen women who look masculine. Not black women. White women.

A woman on here once posted about strangers calling her trans. Not because of her muscles.

It's just not a nice thing to comment on.

I've had women ask me out on dating sites that I legit thought were trans going by appearance.

Even Jennifer Aniston got called " Maniston" for years.

I think you can not like Dylan without commenting on body types.
