Just .. why? Why do we have to pander to (ahem) non-women (spoiler alert - men) in this way?

I honestly find it so infuriating. Women have periods. Women go through the menopause. Not 50% of people. ALL women.

What is so difficult about that?

This has been raised with the nhs multiple times since it started happening...female cancers were targeted first and the answer seemed to be that it was being rolled out across the board and they just hadn't gotten round to doing the male ones yet. The difference in the wording on the ovarian or cervical cancer pages compared to the testicular cancer pages was highlighted. Also highlighted were the vast numbers of women who were not aware they had either of these organs so saying "anybody with a cervix is at risk" was a waste of time and excluding all those women from being informed. I see they've gotten round to changing the penile cancer one but not the testicular cancer one (cynic me: well everybody knows who has a penis and it's a much less common cancer so less risk of men being disadvantaged than if they change the prostate or testicular ones, women on the other hand are expendable)

I’d love to know what percentage of the adult population of menopausal age are trans men. I reckon it’s close to zero.

Transmen (females) who take testosterone are likely to be going into menopause thirty years early (in their twenties), and may be at a higher risk for all of the associated menopausal issues, plus potentially heart-related health problems. There isn't much research on what happens to females who take testosterone.

Elaine Miller talks about it here, from about 15minutes in:

Anyway, to answer your question, the huge surge in young females identifying as males and then going on to take testosterone may well be in need of menopausal services very soon.

Women who take massive doses of testosterone aren't the same; they are experiencing aetiological illness caused by medical intervention.

This constant removal of the term WOMAN from health services is insulting and offensive. If you have a female reproductive system, then you are a biological woman. Some women have gender dysphoria, but unless they have physically or chemically altered their body, they will need medical treatment as a woman if they experience women's health issues.

It took me 30 seconds to find the word women twice on that page

lovely sign at chatsworth today in the farm advising “pregnant ladies” not to pet the goats.
