I sued an IVF clinic but I can't imagine why the sex is even important when they've been extremely lucky to find a woman (not a 'gestational carrier') to carry for them at her own risk.
Whether they raise the child or not, they should understand that it's not always an exact science, no matter what promises are made. You pay for ivf even when it's not successful, and I bet there were caveats given beforehand because something so complicated is never 100% guaranteed.
I'd like to know why they only wanted a boy tbh - that would tell me more than the fact they're suing.
As usual it's the women who actually have to go through the physical process of IVF, this couple didn't have to make any physical sacrifices so to them it's simply a service they're completely removed from. Human reproduction doesn't - and shouldn't - work like that. It's not a right no matter how much you spend.
I believe surrogacy is morally wrong in the first place and this smacks of the worst kind of privilege to me.
