So Porn hub apparently has a new category ' Ukrainian girls and war rape'

I am beyond appalled. Who the fuck looks at what is happening in Ukraine and thinks ' that's a good wank opportunity.'

This was JB's original claim, it's clearly utter nonsense. Very disappointing to see JB lying so egregiously, it makes everything else she says suspect.

It is, I've followed Julie's work for some years now and I'm disappointed to see this. I hope it's a genuine mistake rather than a lie!

Thing is, surely someone in Julie's line of work should know there is no way commercial sites could host rape videos, let alone videos of Russian war crimes. Then there is the fact these videos would be front page news everywhere.

Even knowing little about the porn industry it seemed a ridiculous statement to me. If she just believed someone else's lie and didn't check, it would make me question anything she writes.

People can post any old crap on the internet and some people will believe it.
Even if it's debunked, a proportion of people will still believe it.

This sounds very serious, are you absolutely sure about this? I don't think Pornhub would include a "rape" category of any sort.

In Britain porn videos depicting rape (this also includes "rape themed roleplays") are illegal under the 2009 extreme porn act.

I've had a quick look at Pornhub and the porn categories and I don't see any reference to war or r*pe.

If it is true I'm sure there whoever at PH is responsible for creating this category will spend a long time in prison.

I contacted Pornhub to draw their attention to the article asking them to confirm if Julie Bindel's claim is true or not.

If it's an outright lie to damage their reputation they should also have a right to know incase they want to take legal action.

You can find American soilders at Arab whore houses etc. It's well know in war both men and women are at greater risk of rape. Women especially are at greater risk of sexual work not through choice but because the normal jobs or husband support is gone. Even places with increase red cross workers have a demand for more sex workers. If you have a deeper look in all mainstream porm website you can find this kinda stuff.

If you've seen any videos of soldiers raping women please contact the police. Given the outrage caused by the Abu Ghraib photos it would be international news if such videos existed of western troops.

I know a girl that was kidnapped and raped at 15 and the video is still poping up on porn hub after years of her campaigning about it and police awareness. That's why only so much gets done about videos that shouldn't be on there. Some of these will not be real but replication and then there is no law broken.

To start with the video you speak of is ch*ld porn given she is underage. On top of that videos of rape/kidnapping/violence which are used or intended to be used as porn are also illegal.

I hope you have reported any instances of the video you are aware of to the police.

I am also surprised Pornhub would approve such a video after it was uploaded. My understanding is videos uploaded to the major porn sites don't automatically appear and are first checked by a human mod who approves/rejects them according to the terms and conditions of the site and the law.

It may have now been taken down or never been there in the first place

But there will certainly be videos of women being raped in Ukraine and PH have been known to allow such postings

Rape always happens in wars and we know some people get off on watching rape and sexual abuse

For these sort of claims I prefer evidence, not speculation.

I think JB needs to explain where she's seen this. I just checked PH categories and there's nothing for "Ukrainian", "war", or "rape".

It wouldn't surprise me if people were making porn based on that (people made covid-porn FGS - people doing it in hazmat suits!) but I can't see this category she's talking about.

I'm afraid this absolutely has happened. The site has also featured videos of women who have been trafficked. And some women have not found it all easy to get the videos removed.

I'm sure we discussed it at the time, but the search function is being weird for me.

If only "but that's illegal" stopped awful people from doing terrible things.
