12yo girl commits suicide after being raped by a boy at her school

Shocking story, 12yo Semina Halliwell from Liverpool committed suicide after being raped and then harassed by a boy from her school. Her mother has said his family and friends joined in with the harassment until the poor girl could take no more.
Dr Jess Taylor has been reporting in the story via Twitter but in the news reports I’ve seen they make no mention of the fact that she was raped, most articles are just reporting it is a case of a 12yo girl dying in hospital with no context - Google her name and see for yourself.
RIP Semina
Her mother’s statement - twitter.com/drjesstaylor/status/1407367594068283394?s=21

There’s already a thread here:

Really horrendous.

@MargaritaPie this is one of many articles on Semina’s death (Google her name and you’ll find dozens)

None of the articles mention the rape or cause of death (though I know reporting has to be strict around suicide). The statement linked in the OP came from Jess Taylor’s Twitter feed via Semina’s mother.

Which is a form of censorship in itself, and I don't see it as particularly useful, whatever Samaritans might say.
The alleged rape should be headline news. This is what girls are sent into school to - potentially - deal with every day.

Agree.

It's a terrible case.
And thus is why it is vital that Everyone's Invited is
a) not allowed to drift into 'yesterday's news' and
b) isnever again portrayed as a private scholl issue (just because that's what the papers seized on in the early days, before the fuller weight of evidence was showing)
