Has anyone tried this website?

My doctor has recommended it after deciding cbt would work best for my symptoms - but work hours don't really allow me to see someone in rl.

I was just wondering how it works an how helpful it has been.

Thanks.

Hi there, if you're talking about the computer based CBT that the NHS offers, I've used it. I think it's a good programme but how useful it is depends on your condition. It guides you through CBT basics and gives you tasks to do between sessions. Pretty user friendly and you can control the pace which is helpful if you are in the fog of depression.

I was in a pretty bad way when I used it (gp wasn't able to offer me anything else) and in hindsight, would have benefitted from just talking through what was going on for me. That said, going to the gp's every week and talking to the nurse gave me some structure and something to achieve. I eventually got a great therapist who used cbt as well as other techniques. That was what really helped my recovery.

In short though I think BTBs is a good intro to CBT techniques or a refresher if you're familiar. Can't hurt to give it a go.

Would be interested to hear how you get on with it drinkyourmilk. Good luck and hope it helps with your symptoms. X
