Sorry for posting a lot recently.

I was prescribed Mirtazapine recently. So far I have had 2 15mg tablets. I have slept a LOT which is good because i haven't been sleeping all that well BUT...

I have a stiff neck - possibly from sleeping?, I am drowsy ALL the time, I feel a bit detached which wouldn't be so bad but its affecting how i can look after DS3 (2) (am SAHM) am sleeping thru nightmares which i previously woke from - these are flashbacks

I have also gone from having NO appetite and eating only because i have to eat to binge eating which is making me make myself sick again for a number of reasons. Its this one i am struggling the most to combat. I have a history of EDs which i muddle thru in my own way with.

If you were me,would you carry on? I want to stop already.

I have to go back in 2 weeks anyway but in 2 weeks i know that ED wise i can do a lot of damage to myself.

i would go back before then and see if you can be prescribed an alternative drug

Personally, I wouldn't put up with those side effects. I had to go through loads of drugs before I finally found one I could cope long term with side effects of (it turned out to be an older type AD not SSRI related). If I were you I would go back and ask for an alternative.

Sorry to disagree with others but I really feel you need to persevere a bit longer.

After two weeks on mirtazapine I found the sleepiness wore off and the appetite thing wore off after a bit longer.

The benefits to mood and anxiety come after two weeks. I think you need to keep going.

Thats what my GP would say too i think.
