DH was on a 100g sertraling for many years and was working well, however he started getting some odd symptoms ie very itchy skin and some heavy nosebleeds every day.
He went to GP who did blood tests. She didn't think the nosebleeds were caused by sertraline and he just had an infection.
It turned out the tryglacides in his cholosterol tests were very high and they could have been affected by the sertraline.
They decided to reduce dh's dose to 50g gradually over a few weeks. Nosebleeds stopped.
He has had a lot of stress at work recently so been back to put his dose back up to 100g. One week in he has had another nosebleed.
Sertraline does work very well for him and his mood has improved already so not keen on him to stop, but obviously he can't carry on if it is causing nosebleeds, especially as he does a lot of motorway driving.
Anyone else had this problem on sertraline
