When does 'stress' become something that can't be ignored or even more to depression?

OK so stress is a part of life and certain situations cause more stress, how do you know when it can't be ignored anymore and you should deal with it? When is denial a problem?

You need to see your GP and explain exactly how you are feeling. It feels great to get things off your chest and realise that you are NORMAL and not going mad. I have had an awful few months with stress. I have changed my job which has helped so much. My life is nearly 99.9% better now. Dont leave it or it will make you feel so much worse. Stress is bad but you can feel better. I dont know what your feelings are but I went on a postnatal depression website ... PND.org I think it was called. It was absolutely great.

I wasnt actually suffering from PND, just stress. It was awful and I wouldnt wish it on anyone. Hope this helps. Take care and hope you feel better soon. It helps to sit down and think that life isnt so bad and there is someone somewhere who is worse off than you.

Wish you better x

Hi, im new to all this chat stuff so what is PFB??? (sorry)

Peachy · 26/04/2009 10:58

Why would they take PFB off you? That won't happen unless you are harming ior negl;ecting her! Stress / depression and seeking help is a sign of a responsinle parent not anything bad.
