How to make time for yourself

Has anyone successfully managed to start setting aside time for themself? What do ypu do in that time?
2 young kids, I WFH full time, DH excellent around the house and does all the cooking.

I have felt sad and hopeless now for about a week, probably due to hormones but also money worries and feeling burnt out from juggling work and childcare all summer. Usually exercise resolves it but that's not making a difference now. DH is pushing me to make plans to do something for myself, but I don't know what to do and I'm even finding that pressure difficult to deal with. Money is really tight otherwise I would get a train to a nearby city or town and go around an art gallery and have a coffee and cake and read my book. I need to get in the habit of just scheduling time for myself but for some reason I always put it off.

Make regular, weekly appointment in your diary with Dr Selfcare.

These appointments are equally as important as business meetings, school meetings or actual doctor's appointments, none of which you would dream of cancelling.

Whether it be keep fit, pampering, meeting a friend or just sitting in the park watching the world go by that time is yours and it's valuable.
