Hi

I have been on Cit since March as was diagnosed with PND. Cit worked great for me and I have been firing on all cylinders for the last 9 weeks and sleeping soooo well.

I started counselling a few weeks back and have spent a lot of the time talking about my mother/father issues (basically have no realtionship with them) and suddenly woke on Monday feeling low, sleep has been terrible despite returning to my sleeping pills and feeling miffed that there has been this sudden dip esp as my LO is 1 tomorrow and I have a big party to organise.

Anyone else experience dips while on ADs? esp with counselling involved in the picture? Will my sleep return?

Thanks

Pip

i liked the look of it as its got case studies- which you will hopefully find one that you identify with- and sometimes just raeding in black and white a description of how you feel is in itself theraputic- even if the solutions aren't offered or appropriate...just reading how you feel validates your thoughts which are so hard to put into words.

Has anyone experienced side effects with increased dosages? Since I started taking my extra 10mg my neck muscles are killing me?

I haven't had that. I think the side effects that I had when I started appeared again with the increased dose, but they mostly went away again. (Yawning, jaw clenching while asleep, etc.) The thing I noticed after several months (8 or so) on the extra dose was that I felt a bit slow mentally, which in a way was good as it was an incentive to cut them down. As I said, the side effects reducing with the dose and I'm feeling pretty optimistic about stopping.

Short answer, I think it'll go when you get used to the new dose, but there are lots of other SSRIs you can try if you are not happy.

Apart from that are you feeling any better?

I am today! yay!

Also finding I am very sweaty in the morning - mmm nice!

My original side effects have not come back - they were insomnia and night sweats that were mental!

How long have you been down to 10mg?

About 4 weeks!

I was always a bit of a nervy person - you know, jump out of my skin at sudden noises, and worry unnecessarily about things, so some of that is coming back, but I'm used to it...

Otherwise, I'm feeling very good. (Pleased to have my libido back )

PS, I was on 30, so have been reducing the dose for more like 2 or 3 months. The only side effect is occasional dizziness.
